Went out LWI this morning. Trolled to breakers. Not much of a current,1.3knts, slight breeze. Not enough for a kite sans helium. Did 3 drifts from 250-100 with 3 live baits, free runner, weighted, balloon.
Last drift started at 220 at inlet. Free runner starts to click at 133. Let it run for a bit before tightening drag. Fish made to runs against drag then gave up. Got it in the boat. ~30 lbs king

Went out Saturday 2/10 and trolled 85-100ft from LWI to Jupiter. Caught 16 bonita on homemade daisy chains. Called it a day at noon, headed in through SLI and took the ICW back to avoid getting wet. Very long drive back.

Also went out Sat. 2/10, got a late start around 9:30, picked up a dz gogs and a dz pilchards and set out for 300'. Drifted 2 drifts kite and flats from 300 to 90, picked up a 20lb king, small shark and lost a nice cobia on the short kite bait. king and shark came on the deep gog flat side.

Kind of slow, lots of flyers in the 150-100ft range.

Bro brought a friend with us today. Told him it might be snotty. We picked up some gogs from Target and headed out. Mouth of inlet was rather sporty. 32 had its decks washed. We stuck a couple lures out since we were only doing 4 knots. Even at that, the waves were big enough and close enough to keep deck clean. We went out to 200 with no hits and put live baits out. Bro/friend tried to get kite up. Not sure what they were doing but they had a splash down. Meanwhile, I put 3 baits out, free runner-weighted- on a float. After the 2 guys untangled their mess they were feeling queasy. Short while later free runner takes off. I let it go for a bit before tightening drag. Get hooked up and give rod to the friend. He reels it in and its a small shark.
Dehook it and put another bait out. 30 min later bro decided he and friend had had enough. The guys were the wimps. I brought in the baits and we headed in. Seas were mostly averaging 3s but a bunch of 5s +/- were mixed in. Glad to be in the 32 whaler instead of 23. There wasn't much current and even though there was a east wind, we didn't get blown in much.

Bigger stones than me. We went to the sandbar Sunday and the wind was honkin' inside. I imagine it was pretty sporty on the outside yesterday.

We were also out of PB yesterday and headed offshore in search of paydirt. It was sporty to say the least. I would say easily 4-6 (no THT exaggeration) at the edge of the stream with bigger mixed in. Not a blade of seaweed or a rip anywhere in sight. Lost a small Hoo at the boat that spit the hook on a diving plug which have been replaced before the trip.

I fished saturday 2/10 and today 2/12. Saturday the kings were thick. Mostly small but a few decent ones to 20lbs or so. We had a sail swimming in circles around our short. It got all sorts of wrapped up in the leader. Don't think it ever had the hook but it came tight and he jumped a few times before freeing himself. Today I went out for a short afternoon trip and got a few decent strikes trolling but was only able to land a few boneheads in like 50'.

Fished from just South of Peck Lake At around 9:00 Between 80’ out to 300’ working South almost to LWI. Have one Mahi to show for it. Pulling ballyhoo behind blue/white skirt.

LOADS of turtles out there right now.

Saw a juvenile Sailfish free jump about 75yds away. In about 100’

Had a Wahoo rig deep and way back. Never heard the hit and it ended up slicing the mono behind the torpedo sinker. Oh well.

Fished Boynton Martini glass to sloane's curve (south of LWI).
Trolled for three hours; one jumped tiny mahi, couple bites down
Went out to 700' for the heck of it where the stream seems to be and found a triple tail on lots of buoys out there.
Came in an did a long drift off LW pier and another off inlet with gogs, pilch, and even a mullet...caught one trigger.
South current in close north of ritz it seems.

We trolled out of LWI yesterday. I was a beautiful day N-NE swell, breeze but not enough for a kite without helium, small chop, and south current.

We went out to 500 and didn6see anything fishy. Heard someone had caught a sale off of Lost Tree. Set autopilot NW. On way we caught a Skippy. Once in the area we saw some bait showers jumping. Trolley to that area and had a double hookup of dolphins. First one in the boat we went to measure and she decided that wasn't in her plans and squiggled out of my hands exiting stage starboard. Guess if measuring is necessary, throw it back. Other one was a keeper. Add a couple boneheads in the mix.

I've dragged ballyhoo/ilanders the last 3 days. Tuesday, just bonita and king fish, i mostly stayed inside of 200'. Wednesday I found a few schools of little peanuts in 300'-400' but they were too small to even get the hook when they hit my baits. Went back out yesterday after revisiting the drawing board in terms of bait rigging. In 155' I get the strike of strikes. Fast forward 30 minutes and I boat my first wahoo! It hammered a blue and white ilander just behind the prop wash. My deep bait got short struck at the same time. Seas have been calm all week.

went out of boynton with handful of mullet and dropped down on skycliff with nothing to show . I drifted into 150 and decided to pull the lines and up came a school of dolphin. Put six in the box and started to troll south towards three frigates when the outrigger popped and landed another dolphin . I noticed there was four boats surrounding us so I pulled in the lines and ran home. Pretty nice day .

Also went out of Boynton today and got a few yellowtail but all were about an inch short. Hit some other bottom spots but not much luck. Bonita hit a bird chain near the Palm Beach inlet on the troll. No other luck trolling. All fish went back to fight another day.
