Fished gogs and runners from the martini glass to LWP. Caught a decent king in 60’ but other than that it was slow. Seas weren’t too bad but there was a ton of grass around which was a pain.

I’m sure there was supposed to be a period between the “pier” and “bump”.

Ah...ok.. Thought maybe a relative to the Marathon Hump.

Took a friend out in bro's 32 whale instead of my 23 'cause I got a text from Target bait letting me know seas were 3-4 close together with a 5 here and there. Didn't bother buying bait since we didn't know how long we'd be out. Trolled down to Breakers anywhere from 80 to 300ft. It was snotty. Bow got buried a few times. Furthest north we got was just before mccarther park. Ended up with 8 tuna, boneheads(sigh).
It was snotty. Friend ended up heaving just as we were headed in.

Tomorrow 2/23 looks like the last flat-ish day for a week. Who else is looking to head out?

Just back in..yuck....around 2 was more like 3-4 @ 5 secs. occasional rollers of 6.
knockdowns by bones...quite windy ..heard a sail or 2 & 1 king on VHF.
Overall very unsatisfying conditions & results 85-300 Jupiter Inlet to Juno Pier

I was out of Jupiter today for a few hours. Kind of short and snotty.
I’m surprised at the number of Bonita around this time of year.

Bonita Bonita boooooonita....Bucketloads of them today.

Only real excitement for the day was at about 7ish just outside the inlet in 100' I had a Bonita hooked up on one of "John from Madison's" daisy chains and felt the all too familiar extra pull/drag and then the line went limp. I figured I was sharked. Damn if a Wahoo as long as I am tall came right along side the boat and looked me right in the eye before drifting back down deep. I circled and threw everything I had at that area without a repeat visit.

Apart from that it was Bonito business as usual and lots of cleaning salt spray back at the docks.

Fishing Lake Worth Inlet to Jupiter inlet has been pretty poor for me since the beginning of December. This past Saturday I caught one sail off Juno and a bonita every time I passed over the inside ledge. I keep hoping the sails are going to show up in numbers but it still hasn't seemed to happen.

At least the bonita are around, big gamefish can't be far behind.

Fished LWI yesterday. Lots of BFT around 300’. Fished BBI today. 3 sails in the morning then nothing in the afternoon. Seas were 2-3 as the day went on. Got bit off by a bunch of kings both days.

Forecast for LWI says 5-8ft Saturday with NE wind up to 30. I think I'll stay home with my 25ft boat.
Next weekend is 2-3ft with west wind. Will the west wind kill the bite or should I plan on going? I live in Orlando so trailering is the issue. Is it worth the time/cost for the conditions.

"wind from the west, stay home and rest"... or bottom fish.
