S-L-O-W for us out of BBI today flying the kites. Good water clarity, good north current, thought we were going to do well, particularly when the boat next to us hooked a sail of the kite as we were setting up. Two bite offs all day, fished all over. Just not our day.

I can relate, we got a nice football blackfin right out of the gate yesterday then nothing. Moved all over from the south side of inlet to north of the pier. Just one of those days apparently.

Took a friend out this morning. He had to be back by 11am. Picked him up at sailfish at 645.

Trolled down to the breakers, not much current, pretty good East wind. Went out to 300 and put baits in. Got the kite up with a couple gogs on it. Did one drift then reset back at 150.
in 85 a king rocketed one of the kite baits. He missed it. Short time later he gets the Bait. Sling him into the boat, about 10 lbs.
since we had the king we went north to pink wall then out to 300. Put kite and all baits out hoping for a dolphin in deeper water. Nada. Drifted back in and it was time to start bringing baits on. But... Something big and silver had other ideas. He slammed a kite bait and took off. Friend was reeling it in. Did 3 trips to the boat and out, then 3 trips around the boat. Finally within gaffing distance. I hooked it on first shot but told friend he'd have to lift it in boat. It was a monster. Tried to weigh it at sailfish but they wouldn't. Drove it up to Lott Brothers. 47 lbs. My fishboxes are 6ft long. Had heck of a time getting him out of it.

Drifted some dead gogs for two hours today in 200-100 out front. Not a GOT dang thing. Had a good time with my pops, though, and that's what matters most.

Wish I'd gotten on that wahoo bite!!

Impressive Wahoo's. Got basically skunked myself out of Jupiter yesterday. Caught a total of 2 Bonita and lost half a dozen goggle eyes while slowtrolling them back north from Singer Island to Jupiter inlet.

I trolled from the Breakers to Juno pier yesterday and caught nothing. Trolled ballyhoo for about an hour, then switched to lures. Didn't make a difference.

Popped out before work to see if the wahoos were still around. A little sloppy out, but target species acquired.

What are these guys catching the wahoos on out front? Are they high-speeding or fishing sea witches?

Started drift off Juno pier around 7 this morning, plenty of snake Kings and one nice 35 pounder in 120ft. Bite died off around 9ish and nothing for an hour even after moving depths. Decided to run down to breakers and started a drift in 110. Before I could think about putting the kite up screaming run on the flat line, sailfish started jumping. Pulled other flat lines in and decided to chase him down. 1.5 hours later got a nice hearty sail. Revived him out to 200ft until he would swim away. Took group of people back to the dock and picked up another friend. Went back to breakers in 140, wahoo picked up a deep line and tugged is around for 30 minutes. Lost him near the boat, took a run at the props. All fish caught on goggle eyes. Not a terrible day. Always fun to get friends some big fish.
