Checked cams this morning.seas looked ok,not what was predicted.called target bait and they verified not bad. Grabbed the rods and headed to LWI. Wasn't bad. A little chilly, north winds. Headed south to Dodge wall(south of breakers) trolled out to 250-150.seas seemed to be 2-3. Well, until I turned around. 2-4 going up sea/wind, pretty close together. Bow hit a few of them. Only fish was small bonehead.

I had similar to the above post but just on the North side of Jupiter inlet. Managed just a few baitfish off the stepping stones and caught only a remora and whatever the hell this thing is:

Result was lot of cleaning and nothing for the box.

Thats a ribbon fish and its amazing kingfish bait.

I went out saturday 1/30 and we fished between LWI and Jupiter from 80-180ft. No current and no fish aside from a small bonita using 3 gogs under a kite.

Went to breakers and fished 70-160 with no bites. Back to north of LWI and caught a small king bump trolling deep baits.

Fished last week from both Jupiter Inlet and LWI on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday and Saturday were live baiting (bump troll) between Trumps place and Juno Pier and had one sail hooked up and lost as well as a couple of misc hookups. Very slow. Sunday ran up North off of Hobe sound and found a sail and a small dolphin on dead bait. Overall a little slow, but man it was warm compared to being back home in SC today.

Fished yesterday am out of Boynton - bump trolling blue runners and pilchards. Jumped a sail on a blue runner when the line got tangled in the outrigger clip and had one other bite. Slow - pretty day though

Where'd you find threadfins? Was out Sunday as well and bait was scarce. What depth were you fishing? We put a 25lb cobia, 2 kingfish to 20lbs, 1 20" mango and several rudderfish in the box. Capped the day off with a mean sail that fought something fierce! All fish were caught along the 6 mile line.

Caught them last week at the Sandpile and had them penned up. All our fish were caught between 150 and 185.

Fished on a friends ride yesterday out of Jupiter 10:00 am.
No love trolling 80-300 but for bonitos in 85'.
Ran out to west wall and found nice rip line but nothing.
Came back in to ledges . Dead bait & 2 live gogs.
No takers on gogs.
1 large toro. 1 nice flag, and 1 big porgy in box.
All others freed to roam again.
Very slow but beautiful day on the water.

I guess the sails are still up north a bit. Was hoping this big cold front starts pushing them south as I go out of Hillsboro and cruise at a little over 20 knots so thinkng my range is to Boynton inlet for a day of fishing. Hoping to go Thursday, Friday & Saturday so maybe I find a dock a little north Thursday. Looks a little too rough for me tomorrow. Good luck to any brave souls who do venture out tomorrow! Please post any reports on here, really looking to get my son his first sail this winter break!

Very rough today - did one drift before we called it. Caught a sail and two sharks (one hammerhead) off the kite. Tons of life out there, bummer it was blowing 20+ knots

Fished out of boynton today. Very rough out so I stayed shallow and trolled spoons and skirts. Managed a spanish mack before calling it after only an hour or so. Saw tons of bait jumping and lots of bird and porpoise activity. Color changed from chalky green to clean blue at around 30'. Going back out tomorrow morning on a bigger boat so hopefully it'll still be fishy out.

Very slow for us off Boca/Deerfield. Flew the kites for about 4 hours and went 0/1 on sails and a cuda. Conditions looked good but it didn’t produce.

Went out this morning to do a quick drop before the cold front. Grabbed some bugs and headed up. Seas were flat, visibility was bad and cloudy 5-10ft with the dreaded North current. One of the bigger ones.

Fished this afternoon and evening. Bumped trolled live mullet around 100' off LW pier. Nothing for a couple hours and then 2 nice kings over 20lbs on the flat line. Tried switching over to yellow tailing after it got dark but the seas and wind were making it tough. Managed 2 keepers before calling it. Conditions got progressively worse as the day went on. Next few days look bad.

Default Jupiter 1/13

Just now in posting noticed yesterday was the 13th..^$$GHH

Out @ 5 for gogs.
2 dozen in an hour so great start..this is where it starts downhill.
Back in around 6:30 to pick up some riders and huge gathering on jetty(4cruisers etc)
Find out later a body was found near water ???

Out to troll a bit...nice rip @ 230' ..... . 0/1 sails on circle hook ballyhoo. nothing else.
Set the anchor @ 70' near Loran line and break of a couple kings....
box some legal but unimpressive tidbits ..
sporties were on sails early with kites but otherwise uneventful...
Mahi and big sail pods still north it seems Ft Pierce I hear is smoking... ...waiting for our turn................
