Headed out this morning before the rain set in for real. Left LWI at 7:30 picked up a couple dolphin 25-26" and one small blackfin tuna all in about 460 feet, south of the inlet. Nice current change and heavy but at times scattered weed line, more broken up the further south I went. Back to the dock before the heavy rain.

Looks like I am here for a week of rain!

Wed 5/16
Weeds had blown back in on SE wind.
Nothing past 250 in the water
Early fat BFT on Bart mini in the shotgun. then small mahi off rogger soft haed.
Switched to rigged ballyho and scored double ...a big lady and then her bodyguard
Getting choppy by 11:30 and weeds getting blown away.
Sorry for pics ..camera on phone puzzles me !

Not much to do with offshore but my wife and I were on the beach this afternoon just south of the inlet and there were some huge schools of bait getting slammed about 50 yards offshore. Saw 5 or 6 schools in an hour and a half go by. It was a good sign.

Was the bait schools headed north or South?

South! And they were occasionally getting hammered at the surface. Probably schools of jacks.

Fri @ saturday was one of the best weekend fishery days i have seen. Incredible bottom fishing huge mutton from many different sources. Not just our boat. Still a few sails around, dolphin are thin but also around, live bait is tough they are very thin and not at the surface. Out of jup or lwi. Now the wind is west it might be terrible bottom fishing but may be ok for troll or live bait up top.

Found dolphin in around 300' out of Boynton Friday and Saturday. Lots of kingfish in shallow, with some out to 200' which I thought was weird for this area. Calm conditions and not a lot of weed.

Out of Jupiter - Saturday freediving the viz was crap until after 140ft. Flashed up the sharks, only saw 1 cobia all day that stayed out of range. Shot a bunch of filefish for dinner and one bonita for bait. Sunday trolled all morning out to 600ft and back in, no bites no bunched up weeds. Bottom dropped for an hour and got a few reef fish for dinner.

The sharks are ridiculous on the edge between Juno/Jupiter. I’ve about given up fishing there. They’re even started taking the Striker diving plugs. Smh.

I find this thread very useful so I'll try to contribute when I can. Went out Saturday 6/9. We waited for the storms to clear so we didn't get on the water until 9:30am or so. Forecast said seas were 2 ft., clearly the storms kicked it up a little and everything was close together so it was fairly choppy. Not uncomfortable (well, wife didn't love it) but choppy. She wont sit still when it is like that so trolling only.

We were just pulling small daisy chains and small lures. Went south and caught one dolphin in about 280ft. and one in about 180ft. Both were about 24" to the fork so nothing giant for sure but made the trip worth while. Saw a pretty big bull get gaffed on a boat near us and from what I can tell, everyone trolling near us were picking them off here and there. Neither had anything swimming with them. Seems like they were just spread out. Lots of scattered weed which, as you know, means clearing lines all day. Never really saw a good rip or anything so really just trying to cover ground at different depth changes. We finished by 1:00pm and headed in.

Fished Sunday out of Jupiter but headed directly south.
lots of weed, ran out 19 miles and found a beatiful weed line, dolphin out there but no keepers. Used live bait and trolled.
Came back hit the ledge and found couple small kings, no secret where to find them. Slow day for sure.
