I'm thinking about taking a trip to Bimini sometime in February. I was wondering if you guys just rent slips or do I have to rent a condo to get a slip?

Hope it gets better... last year we didn't go simply because we could not get anyone to confirm an online reservation. Several calls, emails and no response. We had a $550 deposit on hold from where we were unable to make it over earlier that year too. Want to improve, start with communication!

Brad, we're heading over in June. Any new updates that would be helpful?

I'm assuming the Sands Bus doesn't run anymore so the best way to get to the Ferry dock, and further stores is Taxi, correct?

Hi. We have reservations to stay June8-10 and was told I just show up and ask for a boat slip. Then I see that boat slips are full for Memorial weekend. How is that possible if I don't need a reservation for a slip? Just want to make sure our boat can stay there with our room. Thanks!

Want my advise... go somewhere else! This place has taken a huge dump and no one cares about your reservation.

I sent Marci an email concerning this and she said depending on your reservation that she contacts the dockmaster for slip issuance.

I've been to Sands a few times and always been a great experience except for the mosquitoes but I heard they are trying to control them. Just hope the weather cooperates. It's blowing this week.

WreckRman2, you are misinformed. I am in charge of reservations and I give a shit! So your statement is with out facts. I can not speak for previous management only my self. Things are moving forward but will not happen over night. We are at the mercy of island life. For example, the new mosquito machine arrived on the ship yesterday only to be damaged in loading. I am flying back wed for parts. It puts out 5x the spray area of machines used in the last 20 years. I flew back this past wed. to get 20 50 amp , 25 30 amp and 30 110 gfi receptacles for dock power. Today, I helped the f and b operator move 4,000 pounds of food from north to Sands to serve upcoming guests, all in my 22 twin vee. You are right, no one cares about your reservation.

Brad, I find your effort and energy to be impressive. I've gone from concerned, to comfortable, to excited about our upcoming stay.

As for reservations, it's never been better and MarcI has been great to work with.

Brad, it takes a while to change perception. From what I read you are doing a magnificent job that will greatly improve perception over time.

At this moment we are eyeballing a Bimini trip - weather permitting - arriving Fri Jun 9 late or Sat Jun 10 early, returning Sun Jun 11.
We will stay on our boat, but would like to have a protected slip with shore power. What do you think our chances are Sands has a slip available?
