Looks like there will be a window on Saturday to get some trolling in before the seas increase.
Anybody heading out I'll be in a 25' Competition always like to have some buddy boats around.
20 mile buoy is forecasting 2 to 3ft around 9seconds

Left the port around 11am yesterday, started fishing around 2pm on the Otherside. By 6pm we had 8yft from 50-60lbs, and almost limited but lost one boatside. 4 Mahi, with a Personal best for me at 37lbs, and 10 skipjacks. Nice big rollers on the way out yesterday, was like 5-6ft at 12 seconds. Slicked out toward the end of the day. We stayed out fishing on the otherside till around 9pm trying for a night bite with no luck. Ended up getting back to the ramps around 1130pm, and fileting fish till 3am in the morning last night. Another great trip in the books and looking forward to our next weather window.

Will probably be heading out of ponce to the NE. Will be great to take advantage of the break. Love the big bulls in the inlet but would be nice to drag something around for a bit.
Have fun.

20 mile bouy is back up?
Last I heard it drifted off during hurricane Matthew.
Station 41009 appeared to have gone adrift on 10/07/2016 while under the influence of Hurricane Matthew. The last report from its moored position was at 0539Z 10/07/2016. The buoy has ceased all transmissions after 0830Z 10/07/2016. It will be restored to service when it can be worked into the schedule.

I'm considering heading out myself. Not sure if I could keep up with a 25' Competition on the way out though
. I'll be keeping an eye on the forecast throughout the day, but yeah, the 20nm buoy was lost during Hurricane Matthew.

I'm planning on heading out, but going to have the family -- so staying inshore. Just saw 2-3 of my neighbors head out -- so if I get any reports I'll post up.

Krocks- let me know I don't haul butt so shouldn't be a problem
I'm not leaving my house until 5:15am so I probably won't be to the ramp until 6:30am or so.

11/12/2016- it sucked
Started trolling at 120 ft- from 130 ft to 150 ft heavy scattered weeds absolutely demo'd all my wired bally's. Spent a nonstop 30 minutes until we cleared that depth- no fish activity.
Trolled all the way out to 280 ft w/ no flying fish caught 2 barracuda between 180 and 200 ft. Had a sailfish swipe around 220 ft.
Radio chattered nobody caught anything. One guy had a nice wahoo that almost dumped a 50W and a bull mahi both lost.
Ran back in a bottom fished around 120 ft nothing and ran to the north edge of Pelican flats and caught a 10lb Red Snapper (how I wanted to keep it) and (1) keeper Lane Snapper.
Pelican flats from the middle to the south end had about 20 boats- commercial and rec. Everybody trolling or drifting around looking for king's. Didn't see anybody catch anything.
Ran in at 43mph.

Early birds of Friday/Saturday filled up on triple tail. But sounds like every bouy, weed, and piece of debris was hit hard. Other than that -- heard a few reports of kings ~150, and the Snook bite was also hot in the inlet.
All I caught was a bunch of pictures of monster cruise ships.

Trolled from 100ft out to 600ft, mixing in HST. Found some birds, some scattered weeds, but no fish. Weather was fantastic, as were the seas. Only had half a day to fish so came in to some bottom spots in about 175'. Caught a big AJ and a nice gag grouper. Had to call it a day after that.
