Was hoping for Thursday but looks like Weds is much better. Anyone know if the cobia bite is still decent?

Looks like 3-4 out of PC on Wednesday. I'm planning on hitting some bottom spots, unless anyone thinks trolling would be worthwhile. Who else is headed out of Canaveral?

Work got in the way, so I'm out. Looks like tomorrow is the last good opportunity for awhile. Good luck out there.

The ocean couldn't of been calmer yesterday, it was gorgeous. Didn't catch a dam thing but at least we were out there. We saw tons of life, bait, etc but couldn't get anything to bite. I'll wait for Krocks to post, he prolly killed it

We even had a sailfish, in full glory, swim directly into our spread. Just stuck his nose up at it and kept moving, TWF!? .

That is all. Still had a good time, went with my neighbor for the fist time, Celle came with us too! All good.

Lyman is right. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Calm seas, long period swells, sun shining, and just enough breeze. We were on the water sunrise to sunset.

We only fished the bottom, and didn't have great luck. Caught amberjack and kings for the smoker but was really hoping to get some grouper before the season closed. Had a tough time getting past the sharks, and lost a lot of lures that were cut clean off at the leader without ever a tug. Have no idea if it was wahoo or what but I trolled a stainless braided stretch 25 around the area and quickly pulled up a small shark so maybe it was just sharks. Also broke not one, but two rods. Weird day lol. But like I said before, absolutely beautiful day and we were stoked to be out there in those conditions at this time of the year.

I fished last week out of Haulover Inlet and sharks were everywhere on the bottom. I
was trying to catch some tasty bottom fish for dinner. I caught and released 4, and lost about a dozen rigs. cheers, O

Ran NE out of Sebastian and put two 25 lb Kings on the boat at 60'. Pinned the throttle, headed due east, and rigged up the ballyhoo at 250', trolled all the way back to 150' and didn't get a hit.

Beautiful day out there though.

I don't feel that bad now. Still can't believe the weather was so nice and the bite wasn't on.

I forgot to wipe the lens of the GoPro clean, but here's an idea of the conditions out there 30 miles or so in the afternoon.

Krocks, you didn't stop at a small floating refrigerator did you? Throw a couple lines at it? My memory inst good, but a boat similar to yours we met at the debris. We were trolling in the flying lady yellow Palmetto and made a few passes. Caught a little shark.
