Windfinder calling for 4ft at 10 sec decreasing to 7 sec's before that front moves in.

May head out on Saturday looking for Mahi or NSB for cobia.

Thursday's not looking good for me, so going to probably head out of SI on Sunday looking for mahi and/or cobes.

My turn, should clear inlet at 7:30 . Will probably head east and then south. Might make it a short day as it's supposed to kick up in afternoon.

Give me a shout when you clear the inlet. capt. Billy good luck on the cobs .

Default Air show

Is there a good place to anchor up and watch the air show this weekend? Never been so have I have no idea if it is viewable or worth the trouble.

The Indian River would be the best spot on the water. I'm sure there will be lots of boats out, so it's probably worth it to see the jets and for atmosphere on the water. I'm thinking about it myself. Maybe put in at Christenson's Landing, do a little offshore fishing, then head up towards MLB 192 bridge.

Ran around out of Ponce today looking for Cobia. Nothing found. Swells were definitely 3-5 this morning but spread out enough.Seas dropped to 2 around 10/11 am. Hopefully they start to show up soon. Should be any minute now. Weekend is looking good for sure. Hopefully they arrive by then.

I've never launched there, so don't know. But it's getting to be that time of the year and this weekend is going to be nice, so I expect parking to fill up quick. After 9am, you're rolling the dice.

I have seen some bigger boats launch there, so I would think that you would not have a problem. The dredged channel should be plenty deep since there are deep keeled sail boats back by the bridge. As mentioned, get there early for parking. I think they have some overflow parking but I'm not sure. I only go to ballard to get bait.

The view from the river is excellent!!!! You'll want to be right about half way between the Eau Gallie and 192 causeways. The main runway is right there. Pull it up on Google maps and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Fished north out of the cape Wednesday.. looking for tripletail under the weed mats I got outmatched by a cobia on light tackle. Kept heading northeast to a bottom spot and had a pesky remora follow the boat for some time once there. i did a double take when the remora brought his buddy the brown clown to taunt me. He ate a blue runner and came aboard, only to fall short by 1". Nevertheless a great day. Gonna try again Friday afternoon.
