Worked hard this week getting my electronics in so could get out tomorrow and Sunday. Rethinking that now. Guess we'll see how wrong they might be.

Glad I'm not the only one rethinking Saturday. Gonna head down to MIBS and see if I can find something I can't live without. Maybe a new autopilot

Both Bouyweather and NOAA were reporting the same updated 2-3 @ 4 seconds late Friday afternoon. When I looked later Friday night and again Saturday morning it was back to the 2 @ 11. Seems odd.
Wondering if anyone made it out and has some reports.

Didn't make it out but it was blowing pretty good at 10am in Merritt island. The banana and Indian were kicking pretty good as well, Im sure it was sloppy out there.

Got out yesterday ran to Pelican Flats first thing and trolled the 120-140 water column all the way to 8a and back south. Outrigger release broke 20 minutes after the lines hit the water. Wind really picked up around 10:30 and it got snotty. Only heard of 5 small dolphin being caught and one skipjack. Packed it up at 1 and ran in.

Beautiful morning. Ran to the pines and found the king fleet and trolled some plugs with no luck. Ran to 90' made a few drifts and picked away at the lanes. Wind kicked up around 10 so got on the hook. Nothing but red snapper. Tried a few other spots in 90 with the same results. Ran back into the pines hoping for some more lanes but could not get away from the red snapper.

Yeah, we ran north of 528 for the launch, on the way home, the winds started to kick up once those showers blew thru.

I did however hear some reports that there was a big school of black drum off of patrick. Other than that, seemed pretty quiet.

These blackies have been hanging on the beach for weeks, decided to play around with them on sunday.

This one was the largest, caught about 12 of them ranging from 30-60+ Lbs

Fished Saturday as well with some kings on the reef in the am, got one for smoker after 5 min of bait in the water then headed off shore to drag some ballyhoo with no luck- pulled skirted hoo in a variety of colors from 105-170ft, wind picked up around 1130 and it became 3+ @ 4-5 Sec out in 170 so we headed back to port

It was snotty out there. Wind really picked up mid morning. Fished the bottom in spots ranging from 80ft to 175ft. Caught triggers, good sized sea bass, and a lot of red snapper. Still haven't seen any manta rays or cobia.

Hey guys. My brother is coming down and I am trying to get out later this week (Thursday or Friday). If I can't, is there any suggestions on good boating spots, sandbars, or restaurants?

I don't want to fill the thread up with garbage, so I started a new thread (below) to ask for some local advice from the crowd. Where can I take him and his wife (boating wise) if fishing doesn't pan out?

I started the thread below but didn't get any hits . You can also send me a PM if you are in the giving mood. Thanks in advance.

This weekend my brother and I took our boats out of the NSB boat ramp and motored around for the day.

If you're looking to waste gas as I told my wife, but it is relaxing. From the ramp it is about a 30 min idle ride north to get out of the idle zone. From there we sped up to the next idle zone on the Ponce Inlet side and went thru another 20 min idle zone. From there we ran almost at WOT north for about 5 minutes to the first bridge in South Daytona and docked up to the "Our Deck Down Under" restaurant under the bridge for a late lunch. Could have gone further north, but it wasn't needed.

Careful on DI beaching. If on north side do it in the idle zone or south side careful of the moving sandbar at the fork to the south side area.

On Saturday there was a couple of boats on the south end.
