Dogslife- no worries I appreciated the spot. Had my daughter, her best friend out (1st time offshore), dad, buddy and his friend.

We were drifting in a zig zag around that area as the current was slow. We caught 3 grunts and dropped them down hoping for something big. We got rocked up by something big and the other was bit in half.

I moved north to the concrete rubble and nothing. We needed to be back at the ramp by 12:30pm so we rolled out around 11 right before that shower cell rolled over us. There was 2 shower cells and there was an alley between them so we bolted between them. On the drive home we trailer through 2 massive T-storm cells. One around St. Johns river bridge on 528 and another about 1 mile before the 417/ 528 intersection. That one was solid rain all the way to Seminole County. Wash the boat down good

Back at the ramp a couple other boater's struck out to although several had caught a couple. Seems the bite was out deeper.

Anybody see the guy that fell off the dock. Hope he was ok and also the guy with the squeaking trailer hope he made it back home.

My buddy went out of Ponce and got his limit along with some Trigger's.

Krocks- out deeper were you drifting or anchoring up and what was the weight that held bottom.

Yes, I was sitting on the seawall watching all the activities while waiting on my buddies to show up.
He walked right off the end. Seemed to be ok as he climbed out. His buddies couldn't stop laughing.

J ligthning we also got rocked up a few times there by something I had a few small hits and I pulled up with something small on it and then it grew really big and then pulled really hard back to the bottom,I could not stop it and it rocked me up.We never got wet by the rain ,We only seen the one storm that was north of us.I hope everyone on your boat had a good day on the water and atleast they got to see the guy get wet at the docks.

Drifting. I don't have enough rode to hold at 175ft. Current was moving a little over 2 knots and we were using 8-10oz egg and bank sinkers depending on the rig.

Plans worked out Friday and Saturday. Hell, Saturday morning we went early and I made it back to the trailer by 8am... Florida Cracker, cool seeing you at the ramp...

No heros but all decent fish.

Hit the water about 10 on Sunday. Got bait, rode out quick with the calm seas, got our limit, and headed home. It sure was nice to keep some snapper but the best catch of the day was a flying fish. Oh and for anyone else who was out late yesterday, that wind from the south was cookin and made for a wet/rough ride in.

Default Grouper Spots

How far out are you guys going (depth or distance) for Grouper over here? On the west coast at 40’ I have many good spots.

Now that I fish out of Canaveral I am having trouble finding grouper spots.

Dogslife "Joe"- I'll text you this afternoon where we are likely to start. You'll probably be on the water sooner than us, but we'll be coming fast. I'm going for the red snapper and then move to trolling afterwards so hoping to make quick work.
