Default Marco Island / Naples

Visiting a friend in Marco Island who runs a charter in mid October to fish for a day then wife and I going to hang out in the area a couple more days. Any suggestions on other things to do in the area?

Take an airboat ride down in the everglades, go to Snook Inn for dinner, go to Goodland for a day and have dinner at Little Bar, great beaches also. Naples is more high end with shopping and fancier reataurants. Can't go wrong.

I'm not a big fan of the food at the Snook Inn but the river view is nice. Maybe try it for lunch. I prefer the Café de Marco for diner. JMHO

I agree on that. I've never been that impressed by the food at the Snook.

There is a place on Collier called The Island Café tucked in a small strip shopping center. Best filet I've had on the island.

On Goodland, Little Bar is probably the best, but I like Marker 8.5 also.

Isle of Capri Fish house is my favorite restaurant in the area. If you rent as boat, Cape Romano is a cool place to check out, and always seems like there is snook around the dome homes and Jacks and other fish around the tip of point. Keewadin Island is a fun spot too--again if you rent a boat. If you do the airboat, be sure to check out Turner River Rd--the most wildlife I've ever seen outside of a zoo.

Thanks for the ideas. Going to cram as many of these in as we can.
