Default Old Bahama Bay LOW LIFES EVERYWHERE

Every time I come to West End on a weekend the marina has at least a few boats with thugs and low lifes blasting music so loud our whole boat vibrates. Security is worthless. As if they should need to get a complaint before doing anything- then, the most they do is ask to stop , then walk away. I have even seen them join in with a the partiers

There are 40+ boats in the marina tonight and 2 are taking turns blasting vile language music so loud you can't here your boat engines. If you ask them to stop they get in your face , just begging for a fight.

It is getting like Bimini. Disgraceful.

Low life trash ruining it for everyone. If the marina doesn't put a stop to this by ejecting these abusers they are going to lose regular big boat customers who spend a lot of money here. I, for one, have had enough.

It's okay for them to "do their own thing" as long as it doesn't interfere with everyone else's. I understand that everyone is there to have fun and that they might get loud at times. Sunset for example. But when it goes on into the night that's a problem in my opinion. Some people are trying to sleep in their boats and others have families. I wasn't there and didn't see what happened but I have seen similar displays. At BMC for example. Guys too loud for too long and too late had me not wanting to take my daughter (then 13) with me to the pool area while I was grilling our dinner. That was a few years ago when Marvin was still there and he was keeping an eye on them so it wasn't going to go too far. But it was not pleasant and I've chosen to stay at OBB on my subsequent trips with family. Don't want to see OBB go that way, too.

Really? Some people spend a lot of money to get over there and look forward to a nice peaceful weekend for months in advance......only to get there and have that shit going on? Instead of subjecting everyone to their loud obnoxious noise (can't call that shit music), why don't they put on headphones and they can listen to their noise as loud as they want without ruining other's right to enjoy their time in the island?

"Unfortunately a sign of the times"..

Unfortunately a sign of no real men left in the world, and YES I always call out any ass-wipe that's blatantly disregarding everyone and everything around them. If that does not work I simply call local LEO's to handle the problem.

I really can't stand folks who chalk this crap up to...."It's just the way it is"

Sheep, everyone's becoming sheep these days, and sheep routinely get slaughtered!

Oh, and before I get called out here for being the tough guy, let me assure you that is no longer the case. Old, fat and frail from meds, chemo, and life, I'm no longer an opposing figure. We all just need to stand up to these idiots.

Dpdash, good on you for mentioning to alert someone!

Ok, rant over

ditto a 1000x Early and I mean very early the next day, lay on your horn just outside their room or boat and see how pissed they get. Selfish, ignorant, arrogant and assholes are words i used to describe them. There are loads of people today who have NO consideration for anyone else...sign of the times BS. I am with Spraynet, sitting by and taking it is like bending over and smiling while you get ...well you know.

Group of "Statement" boats showing that the statement they were making is "You have to be a jerk to own one of these boats"
Haven't met to many classy contender owners over the years. Bahama boats yes, Albury yes, Seavee most of the time, hinckley yes, you get the idea. That's a south Florida special crew with no cooth. In 3,2,1

YES, or find some music that you know they will hate (Perry Como, The Lennon Sisters, etc.) and blast it really early the next morning. If they don't like it, tase 'em, bro.

I'm damn easy to get along with until 12 midnight. After that you're going to be ask to turn your music down. If you don't so so in a reasonable time someone is going to get their ass whipped. So far it hasn't been me but then I'm get old too. Apparently, there is something mystical about seeing an old guy beat the crap out a couple of young guys that spreads the word around. Once maybe twice and its interesting to notice how quick the music gets turned down.

I once saw my 76 year old grandfather beat the crap out of a 35 year old drunk guy. That made an impression on me, both as a young fellow and as now an old guy.

Doesn't matter the boat brand, money or prestigious education. There is always someone in every marina who only thinks of themselves. It is rarely the boat owner or boat type, rather the "kids" or young adults while under the influence. Violence may only escalate the problem.
As Doug said, best it you let management know. Another good idea, stated here, is to make the comment on Trip Advisors. Please do that soon so I can book a room for the next major holiday as they are always sold out.
