They're all good. Check with the local dive shops when you get down there. They have maps. Also google. John pennekamp state park in key largo is a good place.

"The keys" are a pretty general location. Where you are staying will dictact where you'll want to go. From Key Largo to Key West there are great spots all along the reef line. My favorite being Looe Reef off of the lower Keys.

Looe Key. Located near Cudjoe. Key Largo - Islamorada are crowded.

Looe key has Coral very close to the surface and has loads of wildlife.

Looe Key. 3 miles due south of Ramrod Key. If you don't have a boat there is a dive shop in Ramrod Key that will run you out and a couple in Big Pine Key that will take you there as well. Also a small sanctuary right off Little Palm Island for the rough days.

Looe Key is awesome if you catch it on a good day. We had I mean a massive Goliath Grouper chilling under the shade provided by my boat one day. Literally touching the bottom of it. It was awesome. Seemed like every species in the Keys was right on that reef that day and would allow you to within touching distance. But we went back the next year and it was much more deserted. But I did see the biggest Cuda of my life that day. Just hanging out motionless under a huge rock all the way at the bottom. Did not see him until I was about 15 ft away. Looe Key is shallow enough to free dive all the way to the bottom and get to look under everything so that is nice too.

Yep. Much nicer, and not just due to shallower water. Most of the tourists don't get past Key Largo, and people who fly into Key Weird tend to stick there for the week.

I have snorkeled all over the Keys as a visitor. It's hard to beat the boats out of Penekamp and the boats that run out of Bahia Honda State Park and go to Looe. The latter is my favorite.

If you have decent weather, it's all good. Pick one of the locations mentioned and have fun.

I think you need to pick the area you will be and then we will target that area for you.

I hear great things about Looe key.

In Marathon we have the Lighthouse and coffin's patch.

Check out this site. Has coordinates to just about everything in the Upper Keys. If you need an area for lower keys they have that as well. From very shallow reefs/wrecks to some deeper ones if you ever want to scuba.

Islamorada and Key Largo ones are ok. But Looe Key to me was super. The good thing is that it is a huge area and has shallow 3-5', mid and deep areas for all types of snorkeling/scuba. You can't see it all i one day. Well worth the trip I think.

Do you have numbers for Little Palm, I would like to run out there on my own some day.

Don't have numbers but if you leave out of the channel from little torch key, you can't miss it. You'll go right past the island.
