Default Florida Keys fishing help

Hey guys I need some advice. We would like to plan a trip to fish the the florida keys during March or early April. We would like to fish the flats and mangroves. Is this a decent time to fish?
What should we expect fishing wise?
Suggestions on places to stay?
Suggestions on guides?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

There is always something happening in the keys..March is a period of transition..the Tarpon and /dolphin start showing better numbers in April and Sailfish have started to thin out. There are always fish on the reef..grouper are closed to May 1st. Everglades are still pretty good....it can be windy. Middle Keys are good place to stay..but all the keys are close enough to drive....Stay at Breezy palms...

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we will try to target inshore species.

March can be breezy....it usually is. I love fishing the waters around big pine key. You can try the content keys. If in the middle or upper keys, head north into florida bay. Make sure you have a good chart/gps or you will eat bottom.
