Default 38 pursuit vs 38 rampage

'm in the market for a new boat and I've been looking for a while and I've narrowed down to some boats and the two that I find are good for me are the 38 pursuit and 38 rampage. Which boat do you think is better. I'll be mostly using it for short trips out fishing less than 20 miles and trips to the bahamas. Also do you guys have any suggestions on express fishing boats in the 36 to 43 range?
Thanks in advance

We own a 33 Rampage. I looked at a few 38's. It was just too much boat for me at the time. We love our 33. The upper helm is great for entertaining as well on the Rampage.

Definitely recommend that you look at a 38 Luhrs, much bigger then the others and very well laid out.
The 38 was one of their longest produced and best selling boats.
I have owned 2 different 38's since 1998 and put over 8000 hours on the pair.
Have lived on them for over 3 months at a time.
My 2nd choice would be the 38 Pursuit.

Are you comparing the 38 Rampage to a new 38 Pursuit (outboard boat) or to an older 3800 Pursuit with inboards? Feel free to contact me with any questions about the Pursuit - it looks like I'm just down the road..

If you want to drive up to sailfish marina you can have a look at my 2002 3800. When I went looking there was no question for me that the 3800 was a better boat. We put over 800 hours on it this year in some pretty questionable weather. She is a tough boat, One of the best hull to deck joints in the business. The boat has almost 2000 hours and there are no stress cracks. It will be tough to find one in good condition. I looked at most of the ones in Florida and they needed extensive work. We have the Volvo TAMD 74P motors and love them. Let me know I'll be happy to show it.

If you look at TLF's boat you won't want any other. Check out the video. I first saw it over at FS just the other day. While your there, check out the reports by E$ when he fishes the DirtyFins. But again, if you want a good case of boat envy go visit it or watch the video.
