Default florida keys opinions on the current municipal water

Not a bash question.I have just taken over the territory , I am in the water filtration business. But with such a long ride to deal with the water, just want to get some thoughts on the quality,;?.How the hardness, chlorine , and taste suits you?
Thanks for the info

And are there still any private wells supplying homes? Not for sprinklers, for household use?
I know about the septic tanks still being phased out.

No private wells.
Lived in Cape Coral - Water Sucked
Live in Keys - Excellent taste, color, low solids. People don't even use filters on their Ice Machines or steam cooking equipment.
Cannot tell difference between water from Pure Source II out of refrig door and the tap water.
People still buy cases of water @ grocery store. ;?
PS there are a few cisterns but those are used for secondary water execpt on No Name Key where they bring in water by truck to fill them.

Water is great.
They test and treat at each of the repumping stations along the way.

Private Well -- best water I ever had!! Never again will I have to to pick that hard lime stuff out of the showerhead.

I just buy salt and chlorine about 3x a year. Septic too so I only get a cable and electric bill.

I'm never going back to the city if I can help it!!!

Not in the Keys though -- saw that upon closer view -- sorry . . .

The water is much better everywhere in the Keys than it is in Washington DC.
No hard, chlorine or metallic taste.
No smells or crap swirling around in it.
I hate the smell when a whole block is watering their lawns though.....
I know, it isn't potable water they are using....

The water authority for that area should have test results for you to see what is in the water. I just did this today on Boca Grande (GIWA) and they where happy to help me.
