Default Bowrider at the Keys?

Stopping in next week despite the massive oil contamination. Would it be worth it to trailer my 17 foot I/O bowrider down, or is that too little of a boat for the conditions?

17 ft is plenty, depending on conditions and how you use it. If not too windy, you should be fine going out to the reef. If windy, launch it and stay around the islands.

Your boat is fine... We run around the keys in flats boats... There is almost always a lee side with favorable winds... Bring a chart so you can find your way around..

just got back last weekend. it was just starting to lay down. 17 is fine if the winds stay like they were or you stay in shore or gulf side. we were in 7-10 ft seas 15 miles off shore.

There are plenty of days that you can safely run to the Marquesas in a 17'.

The simplest is at Garrison Bight City Marina ramp off US1 @ Palm Ave. They usually have ample trailer parking. Not free though, but what is down here?
