Are these fish found all year long?

Pretty much. Fun fish to catch. Eating them depends on your tastes.

There are different kinds of jacks. The jack crevalle is around all year, but is terrible to eat. The yellow jack is a good eater, and I've seen them around the last couple of weeks, but I don't know if they are here year around.

I was just wondering if you can catch some kind of fish in the canals of the keys all year?

As a rule -- yes. It does depend on which "jacks" you're targeting:

Amberjacks -- offshore over structure
Jack Crevelle -- inshore/near shore
Pemit -- inshore (spring and fall are primetime)
African Pompano -- deeper water over structure
Yellow Jacks...

You get the picture
