Default Offsite Firearms Storage South Florida

Long shot, I know. I will be between homes for a stretch and would like a secure place to store a few guns while I settle into a new place. I'm sure I'll get some offers from my THT brothers to help me out but don't want to burden anyone here. Back in the day when I lived in Oldpete's former stomping grounds, there was a place called "Gun Sitters" where you could rent a locker to store your guns. Kinda like a safe deposit box at your local bank. I did a quick Google search to see if there was any place like that anywhere in South Florida but nothing came up.

Anyone heard of something like this anywhere from PBC to the Keys? Thanks for any leads you may be able to provide.

Call John at South Florida Shooting Supply. www.gunshopboca.com.
I don't know if he offers storage but he might be able to help.

Pawn shops are great for long term storage. You'll have to pay the vig but as long as you stay current they'll be there when you're ready. Some gun stores/clubs will store for a fee as well. For a short term solution you can aways drop them off at a gunsmith for a thorough cleaning and tuning. Just tell them you'll be going out of town for a couple months and if it's okay to pick them up when you return. Last option would be to get a storage unit in a indoor building with security. As long as nobody sees you put them in the locker it's pretty rare for people to break into them to steal crappy household goods.

A buddy of mine rented an interior self storage unit for guns and other stuff between moves. He asked the manager if the place was secure. Within a month the metal wall was cut through from the adjacent unit. Walked out with his guns and a full elk shoulder mount. Police report was filed and the manager “didn’t see nuthin.” Sure you didn’t. If you keep guns in a storage unit, make sure they’re fully insured and NOBODY sees them come in.

I appreciate the suggestions BUT I would NEVER store anything in a typical storage unit that is irreplaceable - let alone firearms. Pawn shops? Yeah, no. I'll contact SF Shooters Supply but if that doesn't work out, looks like I'll just figure something out for the short term.
