Default Haulover marina Security

How is Haulover Marina Security?

Next month me and the boys are planning a trip to leave out of haulover Marina to key west for 4 days. I have a lifted up F450 with Brand New American Force Wheels (12K). What are the chances my truck is going to be on cinder blocks when I get back to the Marina? Also does anyone know a Marina that has good security I can launch my boat and keep my truck for 4 days. Don't mind paying extra for peace of mind.
Thanks for any info you can give.

Harbour Towne in Dania Beach has good security. Plenty of people launch out of there and head to Bimini for the week. I’ve left my lifted Jeep there for a week and it didn’t get touched.

Haulover Marina is a County Marina and the lot is open. I believe they have a roaming security guard. I would look at Harbor Town if you want peace of mind.

My friend keeps his boat at Haulover... They have guards but not sure how good they are overnight ...

Suggest drive down to the Keys and splash it there ... another hour on the road and you are in Key Largo ...

Just out of curiosity, do the $12,000 wheels need to be a listed item on your auto insurance policy, kinda like guns and jewelry that exceed the basic coverage on your homeowners policy? That truck is going to be a bright shining neon sign to the thieves.

To make sure there is no confusion, there is a privately operated dry stack marina at Haulover and there is a public boat ramp. For that matter, there is also a “regular“ marina with docs that is a public facility. Since you are launching your boat and leaving your truck, I assume you were talking about the public boat ramp, not the private marina. I believe one of the replies above was referring to the private marina.

I would bring and leave "the everyday work truck " in the lot. Not the " look at me truck " . Guess which one " THEY ' want.

Yes, modifications would need to be additionally insured. My progressive policy has the option to cover aftermarket modifications, I haven’t opted for it yet.
