I already have 2 customers that have made it across, stopped in for repairs and already in Naples! Something about them owning trucking companies that cross and are able to get some type of "Hxx" Visa that lets them cross.

There will be some but nothing like the normal influx of minivans, non-tipping human rain delays.

I think it is important to distinguish between SW FL snowbirds and SE FL. SW mostly come from the Midwest and are polite. SE gets the NY folks and they bring their liberal ideas down. Probably time to have FL split into E and W states.

That is not good. I have owned a home in Fort Myers for almost 20 years. Getting ready to move down full time in the next 4 years. I will sell if it turns into a NY mentality. Can't deal with that mentality.

That's an interesting perspective. Probably 75% of my New York, New Jersey customers have places from Sarasota to Marco.

I've seen way more NY and NJ tags around Sarasota/Bradenton over the past several months than I care to see.

I have never seen so many younger people with tags from out west. Probably filling the new homes in Parrish/LWR.

Same thing is going on in many states. Lots of ppl are finding out that since they can now work remote, there are better plcs to live than where they are at. And lots who were thinking of retiring in the next few yrs are pulling the plug now.

Cape Coral is Snowbird Central I think. First the Canadians show up......guess it gets cold up their first, Then Minn. and Mich. tags are everywhere. Then the Germans, yep have a large International vacation business...mostly Germans. Covid slowed a lot of that down. Then the folks from NY and NJ show up, Its like clockwork every year. Tropical Storm ETA caught a lot of them off guard here in SWFL not fun living through a tropical storm in a Motor Home.
Have learned to deal with it for a couple of months, so we can enjoy the rest of the year. Its starting earlier and earlier. Have heard all the arguments for and against....the one that gets me the most is....you should thank us for coming down here to boost your economy. LoL....Our economy is just fine with out your guys for the other 8 months of they year. But thanks anyway.

Oh yeah, a lot of them are definitely younger than normal. A lot of the NY and NJ tags are in the drop off line at my daughter's school.

Those are snowbirds! They come to Florida for 6 months and 1 day to claim residency, save on taxes, vote for the same stupid high tax policies as up north, and then go "home" in the summer.

At the moment very, very few NY or other NE state tags in the Jupiter/Juno/North Palm area.
