Default Clearwater Marina/Hotel

Going to be bringing a boat up to the panhandle within the next few weeks and looking for a marina with hotel for a night in Clearwater. Boat is a 32' CC. Prefer something with easy access to the inlet as we will be in and out.

Thanks

The Hotel Zamora in St. Pete beach is a nice hotel with a good dock. Easy ride through the pass at Pass-a-Grille, only slow speed area is right at the bridge before the hotel. Hotel dock has protected waters, some good restaurants/ bars to boat to in the area too.

There are 2 easy fuel options on the way out, Pass-a-Grille Marina and Tierra Verde Marina.

Agreed, but it is pretty far from "Clearwater" if he is specifically wanting to do or see things in the CW area.

Default CW Marina

You know....we stayed at Beso Del Sol Resort over scallop season and really liked it. Very laid back place and dockage was old school 4 post, not floating docks, but I really liked the rooms and area. Good little Tiki Bar too. (Marker 8 Bar and Grill). Resort is located in Dunedin, far north end of Clearwater and directly across the intracoastal from Caladesi State Park.

Clearwater Beach municipal marina has some transient dockage. You could call them and reserve a slip. Lots of hotels within a block or so of there.

There is also a free public dock a little north at the library. I think it technically closes at 10pm, but we stay out much later than that regularly without issue. There are so many derelict boats around here that nobody does anything about, I don’t think the law is going to give you a ticket for one night.

The transient dockage at Marker 8 gets VERY shallow. There are days I cannot get in in my 25’.

We are planning to get in that afternoon, grab dinner and take off early the next morning, so closest to the pass makes the most sense. We are leaving Key West with a final destination of Pensacola...should be a fun adventure.
