Default Lots of ENE winds for keys trip...HELP

Lots of wind forecasted for this week...the whole freaking week. I feel like ENE winds will screw me for trying to dive on the bayside....and definitely on the Atlantic side. I need someone with a little more experience with the keys to help me out if possible. Am I really screwed on the bay side also with that wind direction and speed. Will I still be able to dive in 10-15 ft of water with scuba equipment. I dont have any true numbers and with the weather that bad should I just dive some hot spots from a map I buy?? Please someone help me out with some good news I may be missing.

We were in Marathon last week. The wind and waves did not keep us off the gulf side. The bigger problem was visibility. The water clarity was for crap and in order to see anything in the holes you had to be 2' off the bottom.

Sorry wango...heading to marathon. I am willing to trailer boat anywhere necessary to get protection from the wind if necessary....just a crappy week to try to go out on boat I guess yea Halifax I was also concerned about clarity with the wind direction and speeds. Too late to cancel or definitely would have done it....seems like alot of rain next week also 😤🤨😡

Wow, I haven't seen a forecast like that since last winter.

The jellyfish are making a return too.

Sheesh that’s a bad forecast. Unfortunately I’ve been there with NE 25. Not fun. Hard to get away from it. Maybe north of Big Pine in the channels.

We were just north of Long Key Friday - Tuesday this past week. Friday was 15 kts ESE and South with occasional stretches of 20 kts (took boat down ocean side) - ducked into Port Everglades and took bayside down. Stayed bayside but as noted visibility was lousy. Tuesday wind shifted to North, North East at 10+ with some stretches at 15. Only window we had was Monday which laid down to flat and 5kts and the visibility was awesome. Always seems like going to and from keys running into a stiff breeze. Half Moon Jellys are everywhere. Not sure you will find anything good unless you have marks on east side - visibility was 20 ft if you are lucky. That time of year - wish you good luck and hope you get a day or two it lays down.

Will be tough I was in water Sunday ocean side and zero visibility. Take a shot on long key 7 mike or duck key bridge on slack tide. Shallow tons of rocks may find dinner there. I’ll be down Friday I’ll snoop

I dont dive but heading down and all next week appears to be a blow out. We can just do a little back country fishing but would prefer to be offshore.

The Keys are SO windy. A lot of the time. The only way to actually get SOME light wind days is to stay a month unfortunately.

DRIFT THESE AREAS IF BORED . THEY SHOULD HAVE SOME PROTECTION AND I HAVE SEEN BUGS ALL OVER THERE. 7m area rips with current but shallow enough you can dive up and down . Won’t be easy but doable. Behind the island bar there is a rock island as well and marked a cove where you may find some on isolated docks. I’m sure THT truth freedom fighters will correct me if those are no lobster zones.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH wango...we ran out to the area and then the rain started heading towards us. The waves were a little rough...but visibility was pretty good. We are going to try it again later or definitely tomorrow. We are making rigs to tow a couple of diver behind the boat to try and find some ledges and rocks. We are in coco plum if you are going to be around PLEASE give me a call and would like to have you over to the house for a.drink. Would it be worth it to hire a guide or is it probably too windy
