Default How to kill a nuisance 3' Palm tree

Pic of fronds growing back. I think it's a coconut Palm if that matters.
Have a Palm growing out of a hedge in a spot that is surrounded by bushes. Do I have to grind it out or worse yet dig it out? I'm not looking for a major project but I understand they don't take weed kill through the fronds

cut to the ground and then really damage the center by drilling out or chopping up. Once you damage the palm heart, done deal

Scrub palm will have a root ball the size of a basketball and a few runners off of it.
Likely have to dig it up, roundup will not touch them.

After you drill it pour a cup of diesel in the hole.

cut to ground then immediately apply full strength roundup to the exposed pulp/heart, use a throwaway foam brush. it will work down to the roots. Make sure you dont get any on the surrounding plants. I got rid of a number of pepper trees that way, they did not grow back at all.

Roundup is for sissies. For a lot of hard to kill Florida stuff you need triclopyr. (Garlon or Brush B Gone). Spray a little of that on the cut stump and that will kill it. Just don't hit anything else you want to keep. You can even spray that on the fronds and it will die.

We have lots of stuff here that laughs at Glyphosate. It barely wilts the leaves.

Pay 300 bucks for one and it will die.

Drill out the heart as said.

this works really good. Once they get hollowed out a bit self light charcoal and some sticks make them into cool tiki torches

Well I started bending it over every direction And hear some snapping as a roots were breaking.I chopped around it with a-sharp shovel and was able to get that sob out of there. Now it's time for a cold one.
