I think both sides here should keep exaggerating their positions a little more so they can finally win this argument. So close to convincing the other side. I heard some fringe rabble rouser "news" article just got posted that proves either 1. Whole thing was a hoax, or 2. Billions have died and gov won't admit it.

You people sometimes.

I hate the mask as much as the next guy. That said, I think you are failing to respect the rights of any business owner to set the rules and refuse you service. Whether itís the UPS store, a 7-11, an airline, or any other business it is their right to refuse you service for not wearing a mask the same as they want you to wear a shirt and shoes. If you donít want to oblige you can take your business elsewhere. Your rights are not being infringed on.

Itís becoming quite frustrating that on a daily basis Iím dealing with disruptions from folks that feel that very moment is the time they are going to take a stand on masks requirements when they knew the rules ahead of time to be a customer of the business where Iím employed. If you donít want to wear a mask itís fine but donít make a stink when someone tells you itís required to enter their private business and to purchase their goods or services. Donít like it, go elsewhere, but starting an argument with an employee or fellow customer Is not appropriate when you knew the rules before you walked in the door. If that business wants you to wear a mask the next forever itís their prerogative.

As i asked in another thread, when will you mask wears/ lockdown lovers concede? What numbers will you need to change your beliefs? The death rates do not justify any mask or lockdown mandates. If you believe they do then what changed your mind over the past yearly death rates? politicians, tv? Have you decided to wear a mask for the rest of your life or just till someone from govt. or tv tells you?

Exactly, what's the end game? I think the majority is over it. We had one of the busiest days in 6 months and nobody complained about seating every table in the restaurant. Everybody was happy and we're ready to do away with masks next. I fear that we will see people wearing masks several years from now.

Here’s the issue I have with this half baked shut down and mask mandate BS. First the shut down. The closing down of the economy did nothing more than cost good hard working people their businesses and income. One way or another it wasn’t permanent and in the end just delayed the spread of the virus. Mask mandates are a joke. Another attempted fail. Just look at the disaster in the north. Cases and deaths back on the rise. I applaud the Florida Gov for making this move. Should have never had to do this in the first place, that is reverse the these worthless mandates and closures.

If there's one thing we can agree on it's that the shutdown was the height of stupidity if we're going to open things back up right now with no viable vaccine (that is the endgame, widespread use of a vaccine) . At this point after watching the below news video, it would have been better to just never shut down. We are going back to school with a huge number of people sick, yet we shut it down when no one was sick... the people in charge def. screwed this one up. Would have been better to just get it over and done with it seems, vs prolonging the event.

At 40 seconds in it shows why states have to be nanny states. This guy has no clue how this virus works and "trusts" his friends. Kind of like looking at a person during the aids "epidemic" and saying "well he/she looks clean".

All this BS and threads/posts have convinced me of one thing.

You or I know shit of what is going to happen until it happens.

When IT happens some of us will be looking real smart and many others real dumb!

Until then, the guessing is the virus at large and everyone is infected with it!

Is this the dumbest thread on here ever? I went out for lunch today with my family and enjoyed it immensely. If you don't want to go out for a meal or to do business, then just stay home. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, but it opens up businesses for those of us who want the economy to prosper.

My family and I already had the virus, and just like the statistics shows, we survived it. For me it was like a really bad flu that kept me in bed for 10 days, for the wife and the kids it was like a regular flu lasting 2-3 days. So the option is yours, go out and enjoy life or sit home and do nothing but whine on a boat forum.

Just got back from Maine. Had to show proof of a negative test, swabbed within 3 days of arriving, and sign a form attesting to that per state law. Ppl there wear masks when outside of their homes. In the street, in their cars, basically everywhere.

Maine has has had about the same total number of infections since this started as Fl has each and every day. Dividing each stateís number of cases by the population reveals a random person in Fl is 8 times more likely to be infected than a person in Maine.

Our Dear Leader cares about one thing. And it ainít you. Stop getting your news from fakebook and faux news my friends.

Edit: and go learn the history of western europe starting about in 1931. Small little steps, a little step here and there and poof!

Pretty sure ho doesnít have the authority to do that. Just like he doesnít have the authority to force schools to open back up.

any other differences between Maine and Florida like population density, variations by demographics, air traffic in/out, tourism? Iím sure this could be studied for years and may lead to surprising trends other than a narrative or an ďeveryone wears masks even in their carsĒ.
