Driving back from marathon I counted 4 or 5 pullovers in progress. And then threats to people in sombrero beach who were innocently bathing a few minutes past 7pm. What's going on down there?

I sometimes drive 500 miles a week down here and the amount of craziness on the roads is insane. Passing in the median, passing on double yellow. People going 35 in a 55. Half of the trailers with boats don't have straps. Dump trucks doing 70mph. People standing on the seat of their convertible mustang to take a picture going over 7-mile bridge. They could write 200 tickets a day if they wanted.

Down here now working on a friends boat in Islamorada. Made a few trips to marathon and Miami cops everywhere and lots of folks pulled over. I have always known you don’t speed in the keys. I laugh when people blow by me.

The dump trucks are crazy! Was doing 10 over when I was there, dump truck ON MY ASS and there's cars infront of me as far as the eye can see! Was in the right lane to boot!!

Glad they are pulling people over.. it's 45 but they usually will give ya 9

Be careful. Lately I just set cruise control so I do not have temptation to follow with traffic speed.
Conch generally doesn’t know how to drive and out of contempt to the visitor will pull right in front of US1 traffic from side streets, often without stopping at stop sign, often drunk or high... it is generally easy to spot those “keys cruisers” junkers, be cognizant.

Bought my place in the keys over 10yrs ago and have never had the opportunity to speak with an officer of any type and I'm not a slow driver but I'm also not reckless. Also everyone knows after 8 u never go over the speed limit and at least half the drivers on the road are dui
