We were there last month. Sanibel made masks mandatory after we left. We stayed on Captiva the only places I wore a mask all week was baileys and the bubble room.

I was there last Thurs and Fri...Sanibel is mandatory mask, Captiva seemed to be masks in restaurants but not mandatory elsewhere. Walked into a restaurant on Captiva without a mask. They gave us one to wear as we entered . Took it off after the 15' walk to the table and kept it off as did everyone else.

Thanks guys! Things seem to be changing in all different directions. Had such a good time running up the west coast that we'd like to do another trip... but not interested in all the nonsense.

We just got back from a 7 day vaca in North Fort Myers Beach. We put close to 400 miles on the boat just running around from Everglades City to Boca Grande. Everywhere was masks inside. Marinas had signs posted but very loosely enforced. By the time we were leaving, they were starting to get more serious as places were filling up with folks from Miami! So happy we were leaving! I'm talking LARGE crowds all in large groups! Since Miami is locking down, they are spreading (literally) out across the state!

I just left there yesterday. We were at seven seas plantation.

It was pretty laid back and normal I would say. They had signs for masks indoors, all waiters and staff had masks on.

They were very lax with the guest. I would deff go.

I was in Bradenton last weekend and not too many people were wearing masks in that area, most restaurants required you wear it when you enter, but once you sat down you could take it off. I was there to watch my nephew play baseball in a pretty big tournament, their were at least 300 people at the park that day, i'd say 20 might have been wearing masks, seeing that it was 150 degrees out might have had something to do with it...lol I'll be in Ft Myers all weekend for another tourny, i'll let ya know how it is over there.

I wouldn't let such a minor thing ruin your vacation. Go have fun, bring a mask and wear it wherever required.

Most people wear a buff all day fishing. Not sure why wearing one into a store is such a big deal. It wouldn't even cross my mind to make that as part of my decision in where I was going to vacation. Maybe Key West where the force you wear all the time, I can see an argument there.

Golfed in Captiva day before yesterday. Some people wore them and others did not. I went by boat and I did not have a mask. No one said anything to me.

Pretty sad that you'd let something like this dictate where to go on vacation. It's everywhere, get over it and live your life.

Go wherever you want, wear a buff and respect the rules and your fellow citizens, and have a good time
. That's what we did in the keys for 3 weeks and it was a great trip

Did you come here for a legitimate question or did you come here to troll? This doesn't need to turn in to a politically charged pissing match. We're all over that BS at this point. Get your answers and move along. We don't care about your feelings.

Been on the island since schools closed in April. Masks are required indoors when not seated eating. It’s hit or miss with all the people that have been coming in the last month, but most of the stores and locals are taking it seriously.
