Default ** Bimini Cove **

Well it's time for a new thread. Bimini Sands is now officially ** Bimini Cove **
I will be adding information along with photos in the next few days.
Gas at the marina is $3.91 and diesel is $4.01. I paid $5.50 for gas in January of this year, quite a change.

Good luck with the place. I hope it works out well for you and the new owners. The place has always had Lots of potential.

Many thanks for the update. I agree with sac56fire - there is endless potential and I'm very much looking forward to my first trip this year.

Be safe!

We all know how slow at times the Bahamian Government operates. The sign I posted which now states Bimini Cove was to show that everything is now official. The property is no longer registered as Bimini Sands.

The Infinity Pool has been completely redone and all new pool furniture and umbrellas installed. Every post that I do will have photos to show the changes.
Any questions just ask and I will supply the best information I can. I just arrived on July 2nd so I have a lot to catch up on. I will be here for at least another 10 days.

I do know that they did spray on July 3rd and 4th because I happen to be outside at the time. Now this is the first time in probably a year that any spraying has been done so that means the machine and chemicals are here on property. I will try to get answer on how consistent the spraying will be asap.

I just personally found out that Bimini Cove is very aware of the need for the spraying and is indeed committed to continue on a regular basis. Now that's great news as I hate the critters

The restaurant and bar at the infinity pool is indeed opened. I will try to get there this evening to take a photo of the menu and the dishes they are creating. I saw some dishes come out last night but did not have my phone to shoot the photo. Pretty incredible but without photos words don't mean much.

Bimini Sands owes me $500 from a reservation I did and never honored. Hopefully new management is more honest.

I have been one of the harshest critics of Kitty on here. The first picture he took of the sign and cheap fuel was sort of lame -- although if they keep selling fuel at a price like that I'll find it hard to not want to stop during a rough crossing (I burn a lot more in the rough, and getting to Nassau can be tight)... so that's the first feather in Kitty's cap. Hehe.

The other pictures he posted are very positive as well. The pool dumpy. so if they redid it and spruced it up, that's another plus.

Bugs. If they managed to deal with this issue -- that's a BIG feather in the Kitty cap!

So... I'm the first to call it both ways. Nice work - let's see where it goes from here!

Oh... and get the guy his $500 back. That's some crooked bullshit right there. LOL.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Bimini Cove get cranked back up the right way ... except maybe for the addition of Mackey’s. No need to even go to North when Sands was good and Mackey’s had the sand floor bar with music videos on the screens, the sushi place and the “fancy” sit down restaurant.

New Website in the works ... most of it shows “coming soon” but it looks promising. Bimini Cove Resort

2015: Hard to tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins

2015: The beachfront units can’t be beat!

Keep the updates coming. I've always loved this place and I'm looking forward to visiting again soon. The problem we're having here in Miami is the inability to get tested and have results within 48 hours. That is almost impossible when test results are taking 7 to 10 days and test availability is very limited.

Customs and Immigration ON SITE (NO ride to the airport!) -- AND riddance of the bugs would make the place a legit stop-over.

I am also owed $750 for reservations as well, doubt I’ll ever see it, would be nice if it was honored though.

Glad to see this coming to fruition! Hopefully making a trip later this summer, would be a nice alternative to north Bimini especially during these times.
