Pompano Boat Ramp on 14th St was full by 8:15AM yesterday with rigs lined up out to Federal Hwy. A lot of disappointed boaters had to head back home.

I flew home yesterday, but stopped at my BIL place right at Points of America condos in FLL for a few hours while I waited for my flight. I have never seen so much boat traffic in my life. It was nonstop and boats everywhere. I park my car in a garage in Wilton Manors, the boat launch there was still closed as of 1:00 PM.

15th St wasn't too bad in yesterday morning but I had to park in a spot that was a little short. Surprisingly I only got a warning. When I returned it appeared as thought Miami was full & overflowed into Lauderdale.

Ramps and boat traffic was pretty tame today. I think being the first weekend ramps were open combined with awesome weather had everyone itching to go out. Hoping the madness calms down from here on out.

Was at 14th this afternoon around 530, obviously not everyone was aware of rules. Guy was parked in haul out lane, thought he just pulled out, but was prepping to launch.
so seems things haven’t changed.

dropped her in today ramp by 441 and Riverland ... Empty .. 2 trucks ....

Took me an hour to the ICW at 6mph ... Now I understand why the ramp is empty

Think next time I am running south to either 79th street or down to Homestead ..

Hopefully during the week they are not too bad

Can’t wait to get on the water...City marina still closed but heard this week is when they could reopen. Been getting maintenance done in the meantime.

Blackpoint closed yesterday by 930. Miami just has too many people out of work & using the ramps.

Did another late afternoon snapper trip from Haulover yesterday with no line, no wait. Launched at about 4 and pulled out at about 715.

Bite was decent again with 5, 14"-17" yellowtails and a nice red grouper in about an hour of fishing and only 1 block of chum used. FWC guy said it was the best grouper he had seen in a few days. They were checking every boat coming in between 2 guys. Very courteous though.

Lots of ballyhoo and filefish behind the boat. No big sharks this trip 👍

Put in at 14th around 9 am, main lot was full and the overflow lot near the road was starting to fill. My guess no more than a 1/2 hour more and they will shut it down.

Picked up my rig at 11:00, and the lot and ramp were closed.

It was nice to have a cop there to direct people and keep cars from parking in the overflow trailer parking.
