Default Corona Virus Bahamas?????

We're supposed to boat to West End this Saturday. Is Corona Virus a concern there? Will we have any issues returning to the US because of it?

these are answers you should not seek on a boating forum. However they have travel restrictions in place. See if you qualify. THey have no cases

From what I have seen, Johns Hopkins University maintains the best, most up to date information on this website:

I have a trip planned for the end of june that i am worried about. Not really worried about getting sick but worried that everything will be ground to a halt. As of now there doesnt appear to be any reason to have travel restrictions between there and here so you should be good.

I imagine it's as safe as staying in the US - except you might have a hard time getting back home without a lengthy quarantine. Everything's moving very quick the last couple days with cancellations and changes to travel restrictions. Next week may look very different than this week.

Things are changing by the minute. You cannot plan ahead for this. And if you leave the US, you may not be allowed to return -- or if you can, you may be quarantined for 14 days. Also, if you get very sick in the Bahamas, you will most likely die.

Please make sure you're not a carrier (of the virus) before you go to the Bahamas. It's my Bugout plan location incase shit really hits the fan lol.... Odds are some stupid American will ruin it and infect the islands.

I did a search and did not see anything about a Bahamas travel advisory. Could you provide the link?

You would be a fool to travel right now out of the US unless it was absolutely necessary.

Ain't no F'n way I would and I think the entire thing is over hyped.
Then again, not you or myself have any F'n clue at this point.

I tend to not run into burning buildings either without a damn good reason.

You guys watch too much goddamn TV.
as of today one in 750,000 Floridians has tested positive for Coronavirus what the f*** wake up.
I am flying my personal plane Saturday morning straight to Great Harbour no stops going to hang out for 6 days fish and dive and have a great time as you know the Berry Islands are pretty well isolated.
return back to customs in Lauderdale and then jump back over to Venice to my hangar.
some of the comments on this thread are pretty ignorant.
okay now go back to your TV's.

now I know why I don't own one.

I think what some folks here are saying is none what’s going on makes much sense (toilet paper shortage?). You’re more likely to find an ice rink on Shell Beach than catch the virus there but if some numnutz on Nassau gets diagnosed all of the Bahamas could get temporarily banned. I’d still go, just bring a max gross of beer.

I'll be in CR in 5 days while y'all stare at the TV complaining. Worst case scenario I die, best case scenario, I have to spend more time in Central America fishing and playin golf. This is worse than a TS warning

Seriously this hysteria has to stop! 300 million people live in this country and as of today 1215 total cases,40 deaths in this country. Most of those were in Washington and elderly, yes 2 of those were in Florida. Bahamas; like most countries, is prohibiting entry to anyone that traveled to China and a few other countries in the last 20 days.BAHAMAS - published 07.03.2020

1. Passengers who have been in China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) in the past 20 days are not allowed to enter.

2. Residents of the Bahamas who have been in China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) will be subject to immediate quarantine for a maximum of 14 days.

This is from IATA International Air Transport Assoc. (www.iata.org) they have travel restrictions for every country in the world listed.

Do you let all the other germs on this planet rule your life? I don't and I'm not going to let this germ rule mine. Be smart about germ control in general and you will be doing all you can. I'm planning to travel to Chub and Staniel next week to enjoy lots of fishing, snorkeling, and Pina Coladas. Anyone want to make the run to Chub with me? Leaving Jupiter early on the 23rd.
