Default Pinfish traps

If anyone is looking for pinfish traps in the Keys, my neighbor makes some awesome traps. PM me or call Capt Squeak's Amazing pinfinfish traps. 305-393-0166. Tell him Mike across the street referred you. You will not be disappointed, trust me.

Quick question regarding the traps and "Marathon". Renting a house down in Marathon on the seaside of Vaca Cut with a boat lift. Is it worth dropping a trap off the dock?

I put 2 traps off the dock of the house we rented last may when we got there about 5:00 pm they were loaded with pin fish at 6:0 am when we went catching. Squid sardines worked great

I must suck, I have never had luck with traps, I always have to chum em into a frenzy and use small hooks to catch pins. I hate having to trade a $6.00 block of chum, but it all that works for me so far.

WOW, they must really catch them better than all the cheaper ones available.

The pens may be priced differently than the traps.

Well to be fair, almost all the other cheaper ones I have seen are way smaller, 18"L x 12"W x 8"H. verses 24'' x 24'' x 16"" I believe these are the max size you can legally use.

Thanks, so a bigger trap catches them better? My son will be stationed in Key West the next two years and the one trap we have now is small so we are looking for more.
