Default PBC anyone have any broken or old rods for school project

Neighbors kid (10 yo I think) came over last night. He’s doing a school project and he asked me if I have any broken rods. He told me the project is top secret but I believe it’s about ocean trash. He’s a good kid but really shy and I know it took a lot for him to come over and ask. He kept looking back at his garage where his dad was “hiding”.

I don’t want to let him down so before I go to Walmart and buy 2 rods to break. I figured I’d ask you guys.. they could be old and you don’t want them or they could be broken. I work in Jupiter but live in west palm. I can come pick some up but I’m not driving 100 miles for this.

Ok dropped the rods off about an hour ago. The kids eyes were as big as dinner plates. He couldn’t believe I was able to find some. He told me the “rods seal the deal on the project” I told him to call me if he needed anything else a to send some photos of the final project.

the dad calls me as soon as I get home and can’t thank me enough. The kids been hoping I could find some rods the last couple days. He’s a shy kid and he’s hoping this project gets him more talkative, in a good way.

so again big thanks to everyone here.
