Default Knaus Berry Farm

Yep, they're back and baking up a storm. Down in the Redlands on 248 st. That German Baptist family can bake. Cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, breads, shakes, jelly, etc. Spent two hours in line to get some goodies.
Cash only.

Wow. That brings back some memories. May need to stop by next time I'm on my way to the Keys.

I still can't believe the lines to get any of the baked goods - it's amazing! I remember first going there back in the early mid eighty's!

Don't know about the Cinnamon Rolls, but the shakes are totally overrated.

It's good stuff, but LOL at anybody that waits in line for more than 10-15 minutes to buy them.

You can go down to other farms in Homestead throughout the year and they have equally good cinnamon rolls/pies/shakes....without wasting 2 hours of your life standing around in the blazing heat.

If you think the cinnamon rolls are good you should try the collaboration they did with the Salty Doughnut in Wynwood. It was a cinnamon roll doughnut that was unreal. They will probably be doing it again now that they are in season.

You spent two hours in line because we all do stuff like this and advertise for them. Between the news and social media they are no secret. The only advertising they do is a little A-frame sign out on the side of the road yet we all flock there when they open.

Mods: Please remove this thread and all others on social media then go around with those little Men In Black memory erasers so we can get our shakes and sticky buns in less than 15 minutes. Just kidding...kind of.

WARNING: They are called sticky buns because if you warm them up and eat them with a glass of milk you will get sticky hands and maybe a sticky crotch from the excitement.

I used to live around the corner from Knaus' and have tried ALL of their baked goods. Their sticky buns are good but I prefer their pecan rolls, similar to the stick buns bur covered with pecans on the top. Black Bottom Cake is unbelievable and Shoo Fly Pie is good but not as good as my grand mother's. I also liked their herb sticks but they don't make them any more, the turned them into herb rolls ( smaller but the same price) and the sticky buns are a lot smaller than in the 80's when I moved to the Redland. My wife used to ride her horse there and get a milkshake - she had to get two, one for her and one for her horse.

They will now ship overnight, but the sticky buns are only good when warm right out of their oven, according to my wife. I go to the Keys several times a year and always bring back a flat of sticky buns. Heat them in a fry pan with butter.
