Questions about Apollo Beach (shore) fishing

Hello all,
I recently moved to Apollo Beach and am fortunate enough to live in a community where I have access to a jetty on the bay as well as a marina. When I first arrived in August I was having a lot of success heading out in the morning (8-10am) and catching a few nice Jack Crevalles and some small Snook and Tarpon. I mainly use a suspending 5" mirrolure mullet with a red head if I am casting into towards the bay and a DOA deadly combo if I am casting towards the beach. Well all was going well until mid-September and now I seem to be striking out everyday. Looking for recommendations on changing up lures, time of day, or anything else that could improve my chances. Only difference that I have noticed environmentally is the wind is consistently blowing from the East which makes me think that nothing is being driven into the Bay but I have heard many reports of people out in the Bay (boats) still catching.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Apollo Beach, sounds like you’re in Andalucia. Great place to live if your house came with a designated dock, if not, not so much. Fishing changes here seasonally and you just have to adapt. The good news is that mackerel is up again and hunting wildly. I’ve seen more action right outside of AB now than I’ve seen in a long time. The guys hunting for flounder on the flats are also having a good time right now, but they spear with a light on the flats. Don’t give up, there’s plenty of good dinners waiting for you right outside your place.
