Yes, you can launch a 25 footer there. Might be an issue at low tide. I have been staying at Futura every year over the last 10 years. It is a great place convenient for boating and enjoying the keys. It is a quick run to the ocean via Snake Creek and if it rough you can stay bayside.

Another vote for Marathon. We’ve rented there for the past 3 summers and we love it. Islamorada is great but it’s also pricey.

Yes, we brought a 26 Regulator there for many years. There was even an inboard Blackfin in the basin. The water at the approach is a bit skinny, probably 2-1/2 - 3 feet. I always tilted the engines up a bit but probably didn't have to. The marina basin itself is 8' or so.

Anywhere between Sugarloaf and Marathon. The upper keys get too many weekenders form the mainland.

Just to clarify, you should visit key there's lots of great food, tons of history and most of the locals are good people. The but is a few people like always are just out to make a buck any way they can and the tourists are from everywhere and most believe it's Marti Gras as soon as they make it to the bar

Cudjoe Key gets my vote. Excellent ramp at the marina and deep water access to the gulf and oceanside, 20 minutes to key west and the night life yet very quiet atmosphere for those who don't want a 24 hour party scene
