By all means, visit the Green Turtle Club! Great restaurant, bar, and an overall well maintained oasis on Green Turtle Cay!

Pineapples for happy hour, 4:00-6:00. Be careful, those drinks have been the ruin of many.

GTC in September is pretty much dead after Labor day. Most of the places are closed for the end of the season and will reopen in late October or November.

Been many times but have never stayed. The Wrecking Tree is a must. The conch Salad is excellent along with everything else. This summer we got lucky and rented a golf cart for the day. Went everywhere ( man what a nice island ) Been many times over the years but never explored like that. My family really enjoyed going up to north beach which is a really nice beach and you can find sea glass. The kids enjoyed that. Went to Bluff House for lunch and it was really good.

We just ran FTL to GTC this morning. The vibe is perfect right now and we had a very smooth ride over except for two squall lines. GTC closes on August 25 so I don't think the timing is going to work for you.

Green Turtle is one of my favorite islands. Nunjack has a great beach and you can feed the sting rays. No name is a short run to feed pigs. Great lobstering near by as well.

Well it looks like we will make our own fun. A closed mostly island doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me, no crowds. Thanks guys for your replies.

We'll look for you. I'm trying to find Shero AKA at 50ct to make some conch salad. Everybody has their favorites and his in at the top IMO.
I think he's working at Pineapples tonight.

The best part of GTC is there is almost never a crowd even in season.

Love GTC, I rate it as the best in the Bahamas. Leeward in black sound is a nice place to stay as well as Green Turtle Club in white sound. Rent a golf cart and explore the island. There are some really cool beaches with no-one on them.

Just got back 2 weeks ago. Timing will make for a quiet time but sounds to be exactly what you want. Make sure you take the cart into town. Our favorite is McIntosh’s for food and desserts.

Something to keep in mind is fuel. They can run out of fuel and it can be a few days before they get more. While you are there, keep an eye on it and don’t wait until the last day before fueling up. Getting gas while available is most prudent.

Many trips have been ruined due to lack of fuel and you already checked out of your house....

enjoy the island. It is awesome.

Lastly, any gatorades, sodas, beer you can bring with you will save you a ton of money. A case of beer is North of $50.

The season really does fall off a cliff from a busy standpoint. We’re at Green Turtle now. Two boats here. If you look at their webcam we’re the white one with the tender on the front.

I’m fine being a little lonely. The opposite of Bimini.

Ditto on the golf cart. We ran all over that island off roading and it was great. Just the drive to Bluff House is an adventure, feel free to take the side roads less traveled and you will see some fun stuff. There are some lots for sale that have platforms build for prospective buyers to be able to go up and see the view that they will have if they build a house. We stopped at a couple of those. All the rest of the recommendations here are spot on - don't miss munjack and get out and explore the island as well as the beach area. Do be careful feeding the Rays - some of the "guides" have taken to also feeding the sharks and I have seen some small reef sharks there get somewhat aggressive looking for handouts. Have fun and enjoy a quite island!

The storms a rolling though. Some of the people from GTC go stuck at Nippers yesterday for a 3hrs while a storm sat there. This is from an hour ago. Something for everyone. Perfect water, blue sky on the right and a squall coming right at us.
