Default OldPete Exumas and some short stops... 2019

Just returned from a pretty neat trip. 13 days...

Finally got to finish the Exumas. Ran to Great Exumas and explored the island. Saw Oven Rock Cave... Piano... Farmer's Goats and so much more.

Ended up getting convinced by my eight year old to do ONE MORE Atlantis trip. LOL. She's 49" so she could finally do all the slides. LOL. Lot's of Carmine's food was consumed.

Found SO many great new anchorages. And learned which low-voltage 12vdc freezer is the best... among other things.

I'll update with more info later. Some pics. Sorry not the best pics. The good ones have the kids in it and wife says no-go on THT.

If bumps from fire ants...we gotta talk.

The cave is pretty neat isn't it. Perfect time of year for a chilly dip

The foot was what my wife and kids' body looked like after a night at Bimini due to weather. They did not come after me.

It looked like they had the measles. It was horrible. We have been all over the Bahamas and never saw bugs. Wife will divorce me if I stop in Bimini again. LOL.

Looks like a fantastic trip, just for my education, what do you think is going to happen if you post a pic with a face of your one of your family??

I wish I could answer that. I pick my battles carefully... and this isn't one I take on. LOL. She said don't post family pics on THT, so that's what I do.

Most of them have the kids in them... I'll run though the card again and see what I find.

Thank you so much for posting those photos!

Did you stay aboard the boat the whole time? We have done two, 18 night trips and stayed aboard our 30 Grady-White. We call it Nautical Camping! With Air Cond, hot showers and a full galley of course.....

Stayed on boat all nights.
7 nights on hook, 6 nights on dock.

We left Nassau Harbor at almost 1pm due to bad weather. Figured zero chance of making home... but we managed to get to Hillsboro just before dark.

We have been to many caves in Eleuthera and other places... but that cave was awesome.

We didn’t have the guts to follow the dive line down.

Wife said not to count the night on the dock at Bimini. No power, and the bugs got too much blood.

Looks like South Bimini with the pic of the Sands. The bugs in South Bimini will pick you up and carry you away. I haven't seen many bugs in N. Bimini. Nice pics Pete!
