Default Rod setup question trolling to deep drop

hey guys headed to keys for couple weeks coming up. Question is I usually run 3 rods for trolling 2 tld 25 and 30w international 2speed. However this year was going to play around with deep dropping.... yes hand cranking. So I was going to use 30w for both what line setup do you suggest for this? I have wind on leaders but main line is mono now but not sure how effective that will be for deep dropping if I need to switch to braid. Thanks for any info.

Jerry Brown hollow core. Probably go with 80#. You could add a mono top shot to use when trolling, and remove it for deep dropping.

Commercial guys use 65lb braid for swordfish in 1800 feet. That’s what I use, small diameter means less weight needed. Just try to break off 65 when you get hung on the bottom.
