Default Bimini/other close islands...for those that don't own, where do you stay?

For those of you that depart from Ft Lauderdale to West Palm area, where do you stay when you go to the Bahamas that has dock space if you don't own a house/condo, time share or anything like that? Big Game Club is one I hear frequently.....where else? Not looking for the party life style, just looking for a decent place for a night or two. If anyone dives, is there a place to get air fills or do you just take enough tanks that you don't worry about it?

Thanks, I understand there are options, which option do you choose and why? West End or South Bimini? Will be diving with maybe a little fishing, but mostly diving. Won't need fuel...just a place to stay with the boat. Resort World is out.

I have stayed at big game and resorts world in Bimini. Big game is great, plenty of dockage. They just finished renovations on their restaurant/bar. Can’t help you with dive spots or info but there is a dive boat at big game as well as a dive boat down by Bonefish Ebbies, so I’m sure there’s air available somewhere.

Everyone talks sh*t about Bimini on this board but I love it there. Most guys hate it because it’s not exactly like they remember it from the 80s and 90s but so what, nothing in the world is. I enjoy it for what it is, the Bahamas 60 miles from the house.

I also go there in the winter far more than the summer so I avoid the Miami riff raff. YMMV

Try this house in Port Royale, South Bimini. You won't be disappointed. It comes with 100ft of complimentary dockage. First class accommodations. WIFI, 8 tons of air conditioning. Built by a fishermen for fishermen and their families.

Bimini Sands. The easiest marina to get in and out of with floating docks and fuel if you need it.

I like WE better for diving but both are good. Generally the farther away from civilization the better the diving/fishing. I’ve shot some big hogs well South of Memory, my better diving out of Bimini is down around Ocean or Gingerbread area

Default Bimini

You can get your dive tanks filled at Neal Watson dive shop located at big game. There are plenty of reef and wreck dive sites that are public #'s online. Big game is nice to stay at and there are also some nice houses with docks on south Bimini
