Default Question for Crystal River Residents

My aunt and uncle lived off of Kings Bay for 20 years, so I know the place quite well, but I've always had my own car. We're renting a house off the main river for scallop season, and I'm wondering if we can all ride up on the boat, or if we'll need a car.

What's the Uber situation like in the area?

Uber is everywhere. There is also an Enterprise Car Rental place on NE 1st just off of RT 19 in CR.

The only problem with running up there in a boat from the Tampa Bay area is the weather. I would not like the make that run in a bay boat unless the conditions were perfect.

Choose your days carefully. Any predictably dry day and the boat ride up is really nice. Make sure you’re off the water by the 4 pm thundershowers.

Thanks for the input. The homeowner we're renting from said Uber availability could be challenging. We're riding up on a Yellowfin 36, so sea state is not a major concern. Lightning, on the other hand, is another discussion!

I mentioned Enterprise because they will pick you up and drop you off if you need a rental car.
