Default Bimini this weekend / Weather apps

Who's crossing over to Bimini this week for the long weekend ? Which weather apps do you all follow as it seems different apps are reporting different conditions. I normally follow Windfinder.

Not seeing anywhere that is saying anything other than ENE 15-20kts at this point. Monday it may lay down a little. But if the forecast holds you better be going over in a big sportfisher or a plane.

Looks sporty, but you're in a 36 YF. Like crossing in 5's with 7's mixed in? Here's a great post I saw recently on the topic:

I'm just repeating what I've heard on here many times before: Everyone says that all the different sites use the same NOAA data and then parse it different ways.

Having said that, I'm a weirdo and if I'm making a crossing I'll have 20 different weather tabs open and check them a milion times.

I usually look at:
  1. wind finder near where I'm leaving from (Boca Raton for me)
    1. https://www.windfinder.com/forecast/...on_south_beach
  2. wind finder near Bimini
    1. https://www.windfinder.com/forecast/...mini_kitebeach
  3. buoy weather here
    1. 26.33219152718315 / -80.00450134277344 Marine Weather Forecast Buoyweather
  4. buoy weather there
    1. 25.721353745489864 / -79.32334899902342 Marine Weather Forecast Buoyweather
  5. buoy weather half way between the ports (mid-stream)
    1. 25.959279413126282 / -79.66873168945312 Marine Weather Forecast Buoyweather
  6. passageweather.com
    1. https://www.passageweather.com/
  7. BarometerBob (especially if I'm going to the Abacos)
    1. Barometer Bob - Abacos, Bahamas
  8. two different NOAA forecast locations
    1. National Weather Service
    2. National Weather Service
But, again, I'm probably a loon... so, not necessarily recommending that. Just telling you what I do.

Best of luck and be safe!

Jeff

Anyone want to give up their room and dock, let me know.
I'd prefer to be at BBC or SeaCrest.

Gusts to 30MPH this Friday. It's seems like the weather being decent Memorial Day weekend is always about 50/50.
Of course, it's about .5' right now. Perfect day to run, just the wrong date.

Yea, she's blowing like, nothing right this minute or tomorrow.
Thursday and Friday is a different deal.
I'm figuring that Thursday and Friday will be a good day to get a room and a slip, because those days will separate the men from the boys or certainly put the ladies on a plane.
Saturday am has possibilities, from what I am seeing.

Yes, as of now Saturday shows 8 seconds in the middle of the stream between waves. For those going this weekend, that very well may work if it holds...

The next 90 miles on that bank didn’t have any 10’ waves but all 6’ stacked tight. I have made a best time back from GHC in 2 hrs, 50 min, that day took 12 hours! No Thanks.

15-20 gusting to 30 Friday-Sunday is all you need to know. Yuck.
I'm Trying to get off the dock next Tues or Wed and nothing is looking good about that either.

Tuesday morning I see a window, from here.
As for Sat/Sun I'm thinking it's gonna be a wake up look outside, call over there, ask what the palm tree's are doing.
