I'm seeing the same.
I'm going to Nassau so have the joy of New Providence Channel too.

Love that view and will be enjoying it myself in just a couple of weeks. With winds out of the East you always have a Lee there, so don't be mislead - the Gulf Stream is another story and it is not going to be a fun safe place to be starting tomorrow. Some forecast are calling for gusts to 30 through the weekend ... Today is your crossing window and it deteriorates from here through the holiday weekend.

Folks over there are still trying to get a minimum three night weekend.
Reservations should be dropping like flies.

I use the NOAA website for my marine forecasts. Came out of Hillsboro Inlet yesterday at 12:10 pm and arrived Bimini in 3 hours at about 18 knots average speed. Seas were 4-6 foot. not a bad ride. A lot of sea spray though.

Now, what you gonna do that you there?

Your first post so no pics. What kind of boat? How big a boat?

Yep, 4 to 6 sounds fun with lots of spray as you say.

I've had bad rides on triple that size.
And, a 56' Sport Yacht would be no different in a 15-20 knt head breeze.

Friend of mine went all the way to from Stuart to Elbow yesterday on a 36' Yellowfin. He said it was the "longest trip ever. Left at 10 am and got in at 7 pm.

I run a 41 Tiara Open and left FP yesterday at 7:30 and came all the way to Green Turtle. Ran 21 mph all the way which is my regular cruise speed. Seas we're not all that bad, took some spray with the winds off the port bow but not half as much as what I thought we would. Stream was moderately rough and then smoothed out in some sections. Kind of weird.
First part of the bank was still a bit rough but within about 20 miles it smoothed out and we were just cruising from that point on.

I would fish in worse
