Default Best course to Green Turtle?

I have the new Steve Dodge Abacos guide and was looking at the routes in the book. I am looking at entering around Mantinilla and run across to the north of little sale or possibly south of great sale. It doesn't show a route straight from there, or even entering up that far. Is there anything I am missing? Should I enter at White Sand Ridge?

I always entered lower around West End and followed the more traveled route. The other Dodge book I have is from 1996 and only shows entering from West End. Looking at my Garimn charts there seems to be a small area of rocks on the approach to little sale that would interfere with the track from the north.

I’d get on the bank around White Sand and head to Little Sale. I’m not sure Barracuda Rocks will be on your course, but they’re easy to navigate around.

Im also interested in this routing to Spanish/GTC......but from Palm Beach inlet. In this case would I want to take the more "traveled" route, which would be north of Great Sale?
thanks

You can shave a few miles off the trip by going between mangrove and Great Sale towards the tip of Little Abaco. Just be aware of some shallow water that extends off the tip of Great Sale. To answer your question, yes the North side of mangrove to the North side of Sale is the more traveled route.

Same track we use whether we go from Sebastion, Ft. Pierce, or Stuart. We run across White Sand, South of Lily Bank, and North of Great Sale Cay. There are a couple spots with shallower bars little east and a little west of Great Sale, but it is easy to stay just south of them as you run through.

From Stuart its approximately 150nm. I run directly from the inlet to Little Sale Cay (106nm) about (93 deg heading) and then follow the course to GT. If I leaving from Ft Pierce I run to White Sand Ridge and then to Little Sale Ca and its approx. 165nm to GT.
