Default Anyone night time troll for swords?

Heard about this in the last sword seminar at chaos. We have prime sword grounds Miami to Boca, idea of being able to troll a couple large planers deep in the column in 1000 to 1300 ft depth is tempting. Anyone doing it?

They put the video up of the seminar

My son runs boats out of Jupiter/WPB. The owner of one of these boats is a light tackle fanatic who fishes swordfish on fly. It took 21 trips over 2 years to catch the first one. They troll teasers on the surface, at night and watch the rod tips on the teaser rods. When the rod tip jiggles, they put the boat in neutral, reel up the teasers and throw the fly where the teaser was. They have done it twice now, and get a fair amount of shots and lots of pulled hooks (fish getting bill-wrapped and sliding off without a hook being in the fish) So, I see no reason why trolling a hooked bait would not work at night. Probably don't need the planners.

I saw skip smith talked about this when he was trying to catch them on fly. I think it would be impossible with the weeds right now. I’ll watch this when I get home
