Some of us had to WORK tooday. Couldn't check the time.
Little fishing in the am tomorrow and then see if I can find a spot and watch the "show" on and off the water.
Might need to bring lunch.

Best show I’ve seen in years. Fighter jets from the start, engaging all the way through the Blue Angels. Prime area is between Oakland & Sunrise - not overly crowded outside either - tomorrow will likely be busier.

did u go out there on the boat? how was it at anchor? i fished the coco plum tournament today and the waves were def. higher than expected. I plan on heading out and if its too choppy to anchor oceanside ill go to sunrise bay.

Not flat - 2' chop plus boat wakes - it was easily doable - however, if any of your crew do not have their sea legs they may not like it - we had a couple of the gals on our boat like that today - however the easy fix was putting out the inflatable floating chairs and tying to the rear cleats - it was all good for them after that.

I was out just a wee bit North of Sunrise and that was not far enough. I felt it was "OK".
I'll try a bit furthur north today.

We were just N of Sunrise, current was smoking 2knts plus, make sure you have a line out before you jump in, 2’ a little rolly, as mentioned, if your crew doesn’t like that they will be uncomfortable. Started a bit before 12, Blue Angels started at 2:30, finished 3:15, inlet was very organized, FLPD did an excellent job of slowing people down and maintaining order.

Went out fishing there today. Holy crap. By 11:50am it looked like the running of the bulls with boats coming from the north and south jockeying to get a spot. Lol.

We were 10-12 miles out when a nuclear submarine rolled past us. That was pretty cool to see

the wind was kicking and there was a decent chop. Was not pleasant coming back in around 1:30 into PE. Some people should not be operating boats.

Nice pics Ole. I was right in that same area as you but didn’t see ya. I forgot my plow anchor and only had my grapple aboard which didn’t help much in the sand. So we ended up slow drifting for most the show. Only one FLPD boat tried to cut my anchor in spite of the large orange ball on it. That’s when I pulled up and just drifted.
