Default Looking for Abaco Rental (House & Boat)

Flying into MHH on 10-6, staying for a week.

Have stayed on Eleuthera many times, but never Abaco.

Open to any and all suggestions.

House: 2 bedroom, waterfront, preferably beach. ( and someplace close for the boat)

Boat: 17' to 20' should be fine

Activities: Island hopping, snorkeling, fishing, spearfishing, drinking gin.

Not in that order.

Thanks!

Elbow Cay is hard to beat. but check to make sure things are open. Many places shut down between sept and November. Plenty of places to stay. Firefly is a great spot. Do NOT rent boat from BlueWave rental in MHH. I think they are crooks. You can rent boat in Marsh and use it to ferry across or take the ferry and rent a boat on Elbow. Get a golf cart too. The south end of Elbow is easier to access bars/restaurants.

Treasure Cay is a nice spot on the mainland. Great beach at Bahama Beach Club and you can keep boat a short golf cart ride from condo at the marina.

Whatever you do, visit Nippers, Petes and Treasure Sands.

Give me a buzz when you have a chance. (954)560-5058 I have a contact with some great options that I have personally used on multiple trips with no problems.

I took my own boat in July, but friends rented boats from Conch Pearl, they rented the Blue Dolphin and Neva Know. Both were good boats with no issues renting or upon return. The link is to the place we stayed, nice and right down the street from Sea Spray Marina. Rented a golf cart from Island Cart Rentals. All around good experience with all companies.

Perfect for your needs. 3 bedroom, private dock on a private beach right at the house. Capt Ron and Barbara are great people.

Take a look at Turtle Hill Villas just south of Hopetown. I've rented from them twice and will go back when I can. They have two and three bedroom villas. The two bedrooms are just back from the beach next to the pool. The three bedrooms are next to the beach and next to " On Da Beach" bar and grill. One good thing is they have their own private boat dock. You need to take a golf cart to get to the boat dock but it is pretty close and no big deal at all. Also, if you need to rent a boat I have used Island Marine both times. They deliver and are very easy to deal with. Not that I am an expert but if you go feel free to PM me and I can give you some good snorkeling and fishing spots.

Ended up with a house north of Marsh Harbor, bay front, private beach, boat dock, and big enough. I would have preferred a out-island house, but ultimately the price won out on the mainland. This house ended up almost $100 / night cheaper than the out-island options.

Need to nail down a boat rental now...

If you are in marsh Harbour Abaco dorado was easy to deal with. Lots of boat options too.
