That stinks Prockvan.

My bet is you are not being stiffed, and that those who got your items are sending you the shipping $$ right now.

This is all about trust. If it where me, one week form now, anyone who stiffed me on shipping would be outed. We are all big kids, and we should all stand behind our actions

Now I would like to claim the 27 foot CC with twin yamahas that someone offered. can't find the page right now, but I remember seeing it.

FishinDaze.

I am trying to fill in the area next to my garage, so i will take all the dirt in your backyard. If the grass is good, I will take that as well.

Thanks

I've only dealt with three guys so far. But all three have been standup and done what was agreed upon. No problems here. I suspect a swap isn't at the top of everyone's to do list. So yes, give it a few extra days beyond what you might expect and I'd bet you'll get your shipping money. If not, a PM would be in order as a friendly reminder. A week after that, I'd post on this thread with another friendly reminder. A week after that, I'd post on this thread with a not so friendly reminder, and a heads up to others, just in case.

I understood this to be a "pay it forward concept" with no strings attached. If I put something on the board, it can be claimed by anyone with no strings attached. If I claim something on the board, I should then make sure that I have put something on the board for another member to claim. I can choose to put more than one thing on the board and not claim anything if I want but I would not be participating in good faith if I claimed five items and put nothing on the board to replace them.
I have dealt with one person so far who has been a "stand up" guy. No problems at all. I would hope that I give reason for someone to say the same about me . In any case, this is a great thread and a great idea to give something away knowing that a person really needs it.

I also think this is a great thread. I have dealt with 2 people so far, the first was Gebby and he was completely stand up and very honest. The second, we are arranging the swap.

This Should clear up the trading thing:

"you offer up something for free that you want to get rid of
the deal is that whoever claims it has to offer something free themselves, and so on. it has to be something decent

the person claiming the item pays shipping if applicable"

If you offer it up anyone can claim it - they (the claimer) then offers something up for anyone else to claim... No picking and choosing if you'll send it to someone based on what they can offer back to you, if thats the case put up a trade ad for your item, wrong post for you.

Default Drain Plug

I do still have it, it is a Perko Brass Drain Plug and threaded insert. The flange is 2" and the plug is 1/2". You can see what it looks like from a West Marine catalog, etc. There about $20 new...
