Default ***scam alert*** Fishes_deers

I posted a WTB ad and got a reply from "Fishes_deers" saying he had what I needed lightly used. Money was sent with nothing shipped or a response once money was received.
Paypal name was Cooltacha@gmail.com or Roslyn Tacha

If you paid using PayPal, I believe they will refund your loss. I was hit once with a scam and PayPay came through with a refund.

Could the Mods make a Sticky so we could put all the scan alerts in one place, I'm seeing more and more of them.

you know everyone wants the paypl fees paid
it’s a part of doing business even Walmart has to pay credit card fees.
sellers need to learn they have to eat the Fee it’s just the price of doing business

Are they all Scammers ? No... Will this 'Save Your Butt' ~95% of the time ? Yes...

I just bought $600.00 worth of reels from someone on the commercial for sale and I had the option of FF or add 3% to cover fees this seller was highly regarded by many THT members and sold a lot of new reels to many I opted to pay the 3% not because I didn't trust him but my thought was what if something happened to him like being hit by a bus or something incapacitating....I know weird but now I have peace of mind for $18. dollars

Attaboy, Attagirl, and vendor feedback in general goes in Vendor Talk. https://www.thehulltruth.com/vendor-talk-176/

Some of these are individuals as well, but I doubt IB will permit a separate section to sales scams, due to legal reasons.

Post them in Vendor Talk though.

I was going to post the same about him but the mods warned me not to warn but rather let them know so they can handle it.

I Aldo got a DM from him 2 days ago on my wtb garmin thread offering a used unit for sale. When I asked for serial number, I got the same serial that another person had sent to me pictures of.

Needless to say, when confronted on email, neither provided registered name of the unit nor responded after that.

and technically both parties are scamming PP by declaring F&F when not....or buyer should figure in the 3% or seller should just figure it in the price...

And my question that hopefully one of our Moderators can answer is why are these guys allowed to continue to operate and continue to scam here on these forums?

I did report the DM message and advise of what happened.sa mod responded, but I'm unaware if any action was taken. All the mod message to me said was to be careful on the forum. Wtf kick the guy out of the community, we don't need scum like that around

Agree 100%. I've been reprimanded for saying a Yamaha F350 was "problematic" and some liar and thief can operate right in the open.
