Yes, as long as you don't mind Chartreuse. But this can't last much longer - my hookup for cheap J braid has finally dried up. I think I have 3 spools left between 65 and 80#.

I came to ask the same question. I saw on another thread that the 1500 was getting used for some deep dropping. Any details you can share yet James?

First small shipment came in a few weeks ago - had a waiting list to fulfill first.
Should have a "real" shipment arrive at the end of this week, beginning of next week at the latest. Formal announcement coming out before then - with comparison pics of course...

Specifications Banax Kaigen 1500TM (Twin Motor):
- High speed retrieve 550 feet per minute.
- Low speed high torque mode for larger fish, reel will automatically shift speeds without stopping the spool.
- 70# drag with empty spool, 50# drag with a full spool - very smooth. Motor torque exceeds these drag capabilities.
- Extremely large helical gearing for long term durability and quiet operation.
- Generously sized drag system for consistent performance over long battles.
- Honed and polished drag plates for smooth drag levels across all levels of drag.
- 7 large diameter carbon fiber greased drag washers.
- Oversized ceramic level wind guide (.230") easily handles windons, wax loops and kite swivels. The level wind design eliminates the chance of line wrap, and has a solid metal guide housing.
- Reel will display feet (Yay!) or meters
- Solid core braid capacities:
65# Braid - 1300 Yards
80# Braid - 1100 Yards
100# Braid - 875 Yards
130# Braid - 700 Yards
- 2 Year Warranty provided by Frigate Sales and Service

$1349 each

Wondering if you could do a breakdown of the reel similar to what you did with the 1000 against the Shimano Beastmaster and the Daiwa Seaborg 1200MJ.

1200MJ tear down and testing is complete. Shimano should be here tomorrow. Hoping to have details together by Monday for formal announcement on THT.
The tear down worked well last time, figured I couldn't go wrong doing it again.

What kind of electrical connection does the 1500TM come with? How long of a power cord? Can you swap out the connections for a Hubble Plug (assuming it does not come with one standard)?

Guys - not to be rude - but we are not going to go into detail much more here. Give me time to get my ducks in a row and start a formal thread in a few days.

Yes, I am very excited, and I appreciate the enthusiasm and support from y'all - but I'd like to consolidate this info in a new thread.

Southern Fish -
Same cord as the 1000, 9.5 feet, alligator clips, yes I stock Hubbell plugs and assemble them.

Great news on the new reel. I'll be watching for the update when you get everything ready.

I love my 1000, and this sounds like a dandy reel!

Thanks!

I have to change the plugs on the reels I just bought to Krystal plugs. Do I need 16a or 32a plugs?
